Here is a great report written by a man whom I know, and talk to now and then, researcher Stephen Bassett. Steve is an excellent writer, and ardent UFO researcher. One of his articles has been picked up by our parent company, the New York Times.

Steve has stated without reservation that our government has "extraterrestrial vehicles" in their possession. He asserts that reverse engineering the alien technology would be extremely helpful in creating a new energy source.

He goes a step forward by saying this technology could totally replace oil as an energy source. Check out his article at A Climate Solution That's out of This World, and be sure to give any comments you have on this subject.

From the MUFON open sighting files comes a remarkable account from a man in Oregon. On 06-16-09, he went outside to smoke a cigar. His dog went with him. Soon, he began to notice flashes of light in the sky. It was cloudy at the time, but there were no thunderstorms brewing at the time.

The lights seemed to be in, and under the cloud cover. They did not, in any way, look like lightning. While he was watching the lights, he heard a car coming down the road in front of him. Both he and his dog looked in the direction of the vehicle.

The man then noticed what appeared to be a pair of eyes across the street in the shrubbery. Soon, he was shocked beyond belief to see a white, humanoid being rise up and quickly walk into his neighbor's yard.

Now totally unnerved, he called his wife from the house, and she too was amazed at the light show in the sky, but the being was nowhere to be seen. Frightened, they all went back into the house, pondering over the lights, and strange being.

Any thoughts on this man's account?

In late 2006, I wrote an article dealing with the Lost Apollo 11 Tapes. These tapes, as you may know, covered the historic moon landing, and mankind's first steps on the moon.

Now, there were copies of the original transmissions, but they were third and fourth generation tapes, and highly compressed, in other words, they were a low quality video.

We have just been told that these tapes have been found, and NASA is planning on airing these soon as part of the 40th celebration of the event.

Parkes Observatory in Australia contained the first generation, high quality transmissions, and these tapes were stored in Perth, and have now been found.

Another interesting aspect of a good quality showing of Armstrong's first steps, and the subsequent events, is that supposedly this will dissuade those who believe that the American's never landed there. It is thought that these new, high grade recordings will put an end to this belief.

Welcome to this week's session of UFO sighting reports. This time, we have three reports from the US, and one from Brazil. First, we go to Arizona, where three people saw high flying unknowns. Then from South Carolina comes a report of flashing objects which flew in a square formation.

From Texas, we read about a man who, while driving down the road, saw a green, fireball-like object. And lastly, from Brazil, a man reports the sighting of a metallic, ball-like object high above a plane.

Well, it's that time of the year when all good UFO buffs start talking about the Roswell crash, although I know it seems like old hat to many of us. However, if you are really interested in UFOs, you must have some knowledge of this most famous case in Ufology.

On July 2, the Roswell Festival begins, and this year's featured band is Jefferson Starship. I hope they sing, "Sara," and "We Built this City." To really show my age, I will tell you that I saw them back when they were just the "Jefferson Airplane." I believe it was in 1966 in San Antonio, Texas.

We all know how most scientists feel about UFOs: they say there just isn't any proof. But, not all scientists agree. What would you think about a case where a scientist reported that he saw a military jet pursuing a UFO?

In the latter part of May, an ExpressJet pilot reported an unidentified flying object near the city of Liberty, Texas. The FAA and the FBI are looking into this report.

Shortly after taking off from Bush Intercontinental Airport, the pilot reported a near miss with the UFO, with the unknown object being about 100 feet below the plane. The event only lasted seconds, and no action was taken by the pilot, who, along with passengers and crew, continued their flight without further complications.

The two government agencies are taking testimony, and their first theory is that some model rocket enthusiast may have illegally shot one of their creations into the sky. So far, there is nothing conclusive, and the investigation is ongoing.

This makes me wonder. Just how many of these "near misses" do we never hear about?

One of the latest entries of crop circle reports supposedly comes with an ominous warning - the end of the world. At least according to some, who see a large display in Wiltshire, UK as a warning to mankind.

The 400 foot long design depicts the mythical phoenix bird being reborn. Alarmists are also beginning to associate other recent events to the so-called end of the world, if you believe the theories that the Mayans accurately depicted the demise of mankind in 2012.

This is something that we all are going to have to tolerate for another couple of years, until we see 2013.

Welcome to this week's UFO sighting reports. We begin with a report from Colorado, where a man and friend saw an unknown object which dropped some substance from it. From Indiana, a man, along with a lady friend, saw an object moving toward them. It was eventually identified as a red/brown triangle.

From Texas comes the report of a UFO which was being followed by a plane. This lasted several minutes. And our final report comes from Wisconsin, where a pilot, while sky watching, heard a loud noise which was soon followed by the appearance of a "powerful, unique" craft.

Many of you will remember the account of a possible UFO crash at or near Needles, California, in 2008. Now, Ufologist George Knapp has released new eyewitness accounts of the event.

You will recall that residents of three states, California, Nevada, and Arizona, reported seeing an unknown object hurtling toward the ground. A man very near the crash site, on the Colorado River, saw the entire event.
