A Race For ET Contact

We have all heard of the race for space from the Cold War days; the race between the United States and the former Soviet Union to see who would be the first country to orbit a space ship, go to the Moon, land on the Moon, get to Mars. That was all well and good, but now, we have a race for who will be the first country to make contact with an alien intelligence.
China Overtakes Canada in Search for Alienstells us that China is in the lead over Canada in the search for alien contact. I suppose it would be a real feather in the cap for that country. The only thing that seems unlikely to me, however, is that an ET intelligence would pick a specific country to contact. And if they did make contact with only one country, what criteria would they use to pick a country? The one with a certain political agenda, the one with the tallest buildings, the latest medical technology? I think not. When the expected link is established, I assure you it will be with many countries at once. Don't you agree?

The possability that any race so advance as “et” would find us as a race to be pretty scary, barbaric and totally unpredictable. However what if and I say what if we..the inhabitant of this planet have already been down this road before. What if all the past life memories that people claim to experience along with the most simple feelings of deja vu are just gliches of past memories that have been erased over and over again through out time. Perhaps if there is any truth in the idea that 2012 is the end that we have lived it many times over through such contact with E.T.s. Humor me. What if so called aliens have always been here and what if they have the ability to jump through time and space. And what if they make there presents known more and more as a way to numb us to the idea of their existance in order to save us as a race from dying off as the dinosaurs did.
What if 2012 roled around and all of us were dispersed throughout specific points in earths past history after having our memories conditioned to except and survive what would other wise be tramatic events. Not so much completely erased but instead altered enough that each of us would reenact a life that was once that of someone who we now beleive was an ancestor but in fact was actually us. In a word we are our own grandfathers sort of speak Maybe the earth isn’t really here anymore. At least not the first one.
