Large Triangle over Cosford/Shawbury

By November 8, 2006

Follow me on:

The British television show, "Stranger than Fiction" recently featured a UFO case which occurred in 1993. This case involved the RAF bases at Cosford and Shawbury in Shropshire. This extremely compelling spate of sightings involved a massive triangular-shaped UFO. One fact about these sightings over military bases is that they always seem to be more than a one day event, and such was the case of 1993. Had it not been for a file received from a Freedom of Information Act, we would have never known about this particular case, which brings up another important question. If they are sitting on one unsolved UFO case, how many more of them are they aware of? This case is given high credibility not only because of its military and police witnesses, but also is backed by the credentials of highly respected British researcher Nick Pope. He had this to say about the Cosford-Shawbury case:

"This is the most convincing UFO incident I've ever come across. It raises serious defence and national security issues. This is the case that turned me from sceptic to believer."

According to Pope, the UFO in question was estimated at several hundred feet across. When it left the area, its speed was more than 1,000 mph. The only weak link in the information chain is a letter from the British Mod to the American embassy. Somehow it is either missing, or temporarily misplaced. To get more details on the case, and the television production, see US Air Base Filmed for UFO Show Hopefully, even more details will be released on the case in the near future.

This case puts one in mind of the RAF Bentwaters series of encounters. I wonder if we will see any photos, official statements, witness accounts, etc. If this object appeared over a series of nights, certainly the militaries of both nations would have tried to obtain video and photos of the object.

In the Bentwaters case, we had highly credible witnesses reporting, and I’m hoping that a similar situation will exist here.

Unfortunately certain belivers adopt the same position they accuse skpetics of…they don’t accept any evidnece that conflicts with their preconcived ideas.

I actually saw this aswell but over Bishopstoke, eastleigh, Hampshire that night about 6pm. It hovered over my house before shooting off to the horizon in the blink of an eye. It was triangled shape and as big as 2-3 football pitches, made up of 3 triagles joined together.
After reading other articles I wonder if it could be three of them joined together, it was that big!
