Debunking the Kelly Alien Case

Wednesday January 10, 2007
I saw an article that any UFO student would love to read. Actually, I thought it was quite hilarious. This author has solved the Flatwoods case, the Mothman mystery, and the Kelly, Kentucky, alien incident of 1955 all in one fell swoop. If you are not familiar with the Kentucky case, take a look at my article The Kelly, Kentucky Aliens It is one of the strangest cases in Ufology, yet a very intriguing one. After a UFO lands near a farm house, a family is invaded by creatures of unknown origin. One of the family members is grabbed by an alien, and the family fights back, shooting at the invaders.

The author's conclusions are simply a typical case of debunking. He has determined in his own mind that since the incident couldn't have happened, the witnesses saw something other than aliens. His solution-find the most convenient local wildlife, and see if we can fit it into the scheme. Hey, an owl will work here, and a different type of owl in this case, and yet another variety for the last one. Three cases solved with three different types of owls.

I have seen owls all my life, especially being raised a country boy, and I have never seen one reach down from a roof and grab someone, look directly into a window, and certainly I have never seen one arrive in a UFO. If one wants to convince themselves that the Sutton family saw something other than what they said they saw, they will have to find another scapegoat... hey, there's an idea, maybe a goat will work, and you can quote me on that. If you would like to see what got me irritated, check out The Seige of the Kelly Aliens

Skeptics are amazing in their ability to dismiss everything with answers that defy logic, moreso than the original stories. Owls? Does the writer think an entire family of “country folk” don’t know an owl when they see one. How many owls decsended on this farm? When have owls worked in unison like this? When would a group of owls continue to hang around after being shot at? Let’s see the skeptic’s evidence explaining their explaination.

Owls float in the air without flapping their wings? Get shot again and float some more. Of course we know that owls always ignore gun shots and never would dive bomb on anybody. The answer to this is more ridiculous then the incident itself!!!

I have been reserching the case very hard and I personly think that this case has no logical explinations that hold very much water and that it is incredably close-minded of somone to say debunk this case without throughly examining the evidence
