Man Shares His Passion
After he told his parents about what he had seen, his parents told him that he had probably seen an airplane. Fairly soon, however, the family saw a newspaper article about the Hudson Valley wave of sightings, and their interest was piqued. The article was accompanied with a drawing.
"When I looked at the sketch I said, 'That's what I saw,' " Nowinski said last week in his Westport office. "And my family said, 'OK, other people saw the same thing, so maybe it wasn't just your imagination.' "
Nowinski, now 26 has never forgotten his sighting, and is still searching for answers. When he was just 16, he started the Smoking Gun Research Agency, which has just celebrated its 10th anniversary. See more information on Nowinski at Man Shares His Passion.

Nice article. I’d say a lighter than air vehicle employing quiet propulsion of some form or another.
It might not be ET since with the proper funding such a craft could be developed with current technology.
Function?
Heavy lift capacity, and stealth. Now that’s a winning combo during the height of the cold war.
Ideas about rapid changes in direction, or speed?
I believe we need to work backwards. If we know it is possible, and we’re not talking magic here, then we want a vehicle that is made with some strong materials but is essentially hollow.
Probably no one on board so it’s going to be very light.
Why would lights be used in in the age of infrared scopes?
Possibly to create a UFO sighting flap.
But that doesn’t imply that important events aren’t taking place with other UFO sightings.
No being able to pick up several tanks, etc., and haul them from one area on a battlefield to another without detection would be a dream for the military.
As for propulsion, it could be silent, and baffled electric fans, or it could be something much more interesting like electromagnetic field propulsion.
I’d bet that the goal would be to use the technology as a platform for all kinds of interesting covert ops.
Development would occur here in the U.S., with original intent on Cold War use, but now I would imagine dropping off an entire base into a desert, or jungle without anyone noticing would be a real incentive to spend the millions needed to keep such a program moving along.
Might also tie into weather modification, and special weapons development too.
Just some ideas Billy Booth.
