How Big is the Milky Way?
A Danish researcher says that they just haven't had time yet. Rasmus Bjork, a physicist at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen, Denmark used a computer simulation of our own galaxy, and created this scenario: Let's suppose that one alien civilization built eight probes capable of intergalactic travel, and launched them to search for other life. As they travel, they each release eight more smaller probes, which would search for habitable planets. They would choose their destinations by certain criteria-possessing elements which would form life sustaining planets, and yet be safe from asteroids.
Presuming the alien probes were capable of streaking through space at 1/10 the speed of light, it would take 10 billion years to explore just 4 percent of the Milky Way. Wow! So, that's how big space is out there. I can't say that I blame them for staying home, and just waiting for a radio signal from someone. Oh, wait... then if someone heard their signal, they would have to wait how long for an answer? Check out all the mind-boggling figures at They haven't had time: the real reason why men from Mars don't call.

If they’re relying upon chemical rockets, and crude ion drives they just as well stay home and watch tv like we’ve been doing for the last thirty years.
Let’s micro miniaturize our aliens, and put them on the end of a laser beam, or shoot them out of the Earth’s gravity well with a bolt of lightning.
In other words let’s do mass production of microbots, and shoot them off of Earth and say about as fast as a bolt of lightning.
Hundreds of thousands of little bots zipping in every direction each year at a good portion of the speed of light.
Now that might speed things up a bit.
And once the little bots hit something solid, have it reproduce if possible, and then form a colony, and begin the process all over again - if possible.
Sort of an interstellar robogerm.
That might be possible.
All speculation on my part.

Given the the apparent advanced state of alien technology, as displayed by objects’ apparent ability to hyper-accelerate, appear and disappear, change shape, divide and merge, etc., it is reasonable to assume that they have mastered not just the use of magnetism to propel their craft, but also to travel via extra dimensions– still theory in our limited understanding of science and the principles that govern the universe (after all, it wasn’t so terribly long ago, relatively speaking, that we believed the world was flat and the center of the universe.) If indeed space can be “warped” via wormholes- as quantum physicists now theorize- then physical three dimensional distances and time for travel become mere secondary considerations. Anyone care to take their annual two week vacations on a planet orbiting Sirius?
thats just it dont you see all these years we been sending out signals and now they are responding … they are finially checking out the sorce of the signals. Instead of resopnding back threw radio waves (which is primitive communications by their means). instead of sending it back it was quicker to go there and check it out for themselves.
I think it is a waste of time looking for the aliens. After all millions of people say they are here and they have had contact them. (This contact is usually involuntary) It is something like doing a search for a heat source for the planet Earth. Not only that but they have been here for some time now. My first abduction was probably in 1938. I found one abduction story earlier than that. Many think they have visited since ancient history. I think the real reason people do not think they have visited is government denial. Not just our government but most governments. They think people will panic. Why? A large portion of the population now believes in UFO’s and aliens. It is all over TV.
The idea that they have not had time to find us is one of the silliest things I have every heard of. Just how old is the universe anyway?

Oh, there here, and they have been here for a long time. Why they don’t talk to us, well it would be like us talking to a rat, there just wouldn’t be any understanding on our parts. They have huge brains and eyes and have developed for billions of years, in contrast, we’re not even a pea in a pod to them. I truely wish they would help us develope, any yes maybe they have made contact with a select few and their teaching us as fast as our little febble minds will handle…but billions of years of evolution against a few thousand for us, hmmmm, its gonna be a few years before we catch up.
I think that maybe the reason we have not been agknowleadged by aliens is that maybe we’re not what their looking for
Alians are NOT real. God did not make aliens!!!
