Something They're Not Telling Us

Monday April 23, 2007
I have made comments before on the logistics of making contact with an extraterrestrial intelligence, and this subject is a very important one. Just how would we react? How would your life change if suddenly you were told that contact had been made with ET? Has that contact already been made? Possibly. At least now the nations of the world are considering the possibilities.

A press release issued a few weeks ago tells us that the United Nations General Assembly will debate "establishing diplomatic relations with advanced Extraterrestrial Civilizations that may now be visiting Earth.

"MAY NOW BE VISITING EARTH?" Yes, that's exactly what it says. As you may recall, we have heard rumblings about disclosure for quite some time now. France has released UFO files, Brazil has released secret UFO files, Great Britain has released documents dealing with UFOs, and the former Minister of Defence, Paul Hellyer has called for open discussion of UFOs.

This leads me to believe that the assertion that governments of the world are holding back information on UFOs is true, and just maybe we are being prepared for an announcement. I'll leave you to ponder this statement by a Non-Governmental spokesperson about the United Nations General Assembly: "We are certain... (there will be) official disclosure of an advanced Extraterrestrial presence, and for the beginnings of a United Nations Decade of Contact."

To see more on this story, along with contact information, go to U.N. to debate contact with extraterrestrial civilizations.

Addendum: Yes, folks, although I am a country boy, and not in the least bit knowledgeable about politics, I did know that Hellyer was not the former "Prime Minister" but Minister of Defence" Now, is Defence spelled with a "c" or "s"? Well, in Great Britain, it is usually spelled with a "c," but in America we normally opt for the "s" at the end.

But, what about Canada?

As the United Nations General Assembly, here is a quote from an article that went online about noon today, U.N. General Assembly Now Has Resolution To Establish United Nations Decade Of Contact & Diplomatic Relations With E.T.s.

For the first time in almost 27 years, the United Nations General Assembly will be debating the issue of establishing diplomatic relations with advanced Extraterrestrial Civilizations that may now be visiting Earth.

On December 16, 2005, a Resolution to establish a United Nations Decade of Contact was formally transmitted to the incoming President of the General Assembly, H.E. Jan Eliasson of Sweden by the Institute for Cooperation in Space (ICIS), a Non-Governmental Organization. President Eliasson was Sweden's Ambassador to the United Nations from 2000 to 2005.

Almost to the day twenty-seven years ago, on December 18, 1978, the United Nations General Assembly voted to approve decision 33/426, inviting U.N. Member States "to take appropriate steps to coordinate on a national level scientific research and investigation into extraterrestrial life, including unidentified flying objects, and to inform the Secretary-General of the observations, research and evaluation of such activities."

Surely they wouldn’t just release a statement saying “Oh yes, 50 years ago we though there might of been something going on but now, yes, we are being visited by extraterrestrials.” How would they expect us to react?
Like informed citizens or crazed looters? It’s like trying to explain that the world is coming to an end and expect people not to be in denial or go crazy.

Yeah, nice reliable source on the UN thing, ufodigest.com. Is there any credible news source saying anything about this?

Wait, let me answer that: No.

Having just searched the UN web site, having just searched every calendar (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) and agenda entry for every UN committee and conference, this simply does not exist. Bottom line: this is hogwash.

Incredible. We need to know what is going on up there, if there are or aren’t extraterrestrial UFOs up there or if it’s just terrestrial secret, classified military aircraft in a testing or operational phase. We need to get to the bottom of it. We’re tired of being lied to.

Found this link at Ure’s site. Seems to me About.com are trying to build traffic and collect user data. The usual routine. Which leads to aggregating, compiling, repacking wheel. Maybe Ure’s returning a favour, or About.com is interested in Ure’s data.

Billy,

Thanks for the article. I have been following this “Decade of Contact” for a few years now. I see no evidence that the UN has any intention of taking this up. In searching the UN website you cannot even find Decade of Contact menitoned. If you know of a verified source that can sight any action on this, please forward to us. You will notice that no certifable action is specifically menitoned in the article you linked. I would strongly recommend follow up on something like this. Your experience in this kind of journalism should tell you to verify your sources before you publish.

As mentioned in another posting, Paul Helyer was not the Prime Minister of Canada, he was the Minister of Defense.

Regards
