UFO Reported near Camp Pendleton
Coach Tony Paopao, along with his wife, was driving south on Interstate 5 at about 10:45 PM, when they saw a large, bright object which passed over their vehicle, and hovered momentarily. It then headed in the direction of Camp Pendleton. It was quickly out of sight.
Coach Paopao made this statement about his sighting: "It was about 100 yards up. It was too low to be a plane and it was too fast and too quiet to be a helicopter."
The sighting was not exclusive to Paopao and his wife. They both stated that cars all along the highway were slowing down to take a look at the unusual object. Sgt. Paul Robbins, communications officer with Camp Pendleton, stated that there was no vehicle operating on the base that matched the description given by the eyewitnesses.

Dear Mr. Booth:
I was delighted to discover your website and doubly delighted to read about the sighting at Camp Pendulton, in San Diego County, just to the north-west of La Mesa, where I live. I always felt that we were being visited by UFOs due to an incident recounted to me, my brothers, and my sister by our father. Our father was a jet test pilot when jets were just starting to be used by the military. He told us that he was buzzed by a UFO while flying over the Grand Canyon. He took evasive action because he thought it was going to hit him. When he was able to look back, the UFO had disappeared. Our father was one of the most honest men I have ever known; he would never have made something like this up, even to amuse his children. Just recently I saw a program on UFOS and I happened to see a statement by Army Col. Phillip Corso, formerly the officer in charge of the Foreign Technology desk in the Pentagon. He stated that not only did an alien UFO crash at Roswell, New Mexico, but that
he had personally viewed the body of one of the aliens. Some years later he was in charge of distributing items recovered from the crash to defense contractors, to be reverse-engineered into our technology. I looked him up on the Internet and I found his book, The Day After Roswell. Needless to say, it opened a whole new world to me.
Thank you for your website, and I will stay in touch.

Christi, There are many good stories out there besides Roswell. Probably one of the best and fairly recent is the Rendlesham Forest Incident (hit my name to go to the link of the transcript on Larry King live). The commanders of a nuclear AFB went out into the forest after seeing some lights and had a strange experience. Also Wikipedia has a decent artical on the event. There are dozens of good stories out there. The ones that deal with the military are most interesting to me since they tend to be well trained observers and have the most to lose by lying.
Christi I should note that the interview also includes the governor Symington of arizona who was one of many hundreds who witnessed the Phonex lights a decade or so ago.
“SYMINGTON: Well, I was part of the Phoenix light — the lights over Phoenix event back in 1997. And I saw a wedge-shaped craft of enormous proportions fly over what we call the Squaw Peak area in Sunny Slope in Phoenix the night of the event. And it was really — it was something to behold.”
Another recent growing sign[UFO SIGHTING] of higher intelligences witnessed by all walks of life.Only about less than 1% of sightings DO get reported. The other 99% are NOT exposed to see the whole picture happening here- today.Thus,99% do not care about this subject, unless the experience was touching ie.[Close Encounter].If one goes out in the field and talks with people about their experiences. You will hear enough stories to confirm their growing presence around us all.Like a Football team.We should be teaming up, as one species to save our plan-et.TAKE THE BALL AND RUN - DO IT FOR THE TEAM-Earth and all it’s inhabitants need your HELP**** UFO **** U Find Out ****
I wanted to let you know that I to was very happy to discover your website as well. I have been a ufo hunter for many many years since I was about 11 or 12 years old, I’m now 42. Your website is one of the few that I feel gives the truth about sightings and or encounters. There are many out there that add things to stories told by others and make it into more than what it is and therefore you can become confused on which sites are telling the truth or simply making up things as they feel they need to and for what reason I’m not clear on. However when I have come across reputable sites such as yours I do like to let the owner know how I feel and that lets others know as well. I’m so very glad I came across your site, I also want to note: that I have had ufo sightings of my own but have not let anyone outside my family know but with your site I feel I can trust you and not be made to feel stupid. So I will post again with the information I have some recent and the others from further back.
Thank you Debbie Rawlins KY.

HELLO,
Today we were driving home into oceanside going south on the 5 just a few miles into Pendelton and we saw a weird silouette in the night sky, (it was around 7PM, it flew in the direction comming from the ocean and it was flying at a low hellicopter level (since it was around where the hellicopters practice) but the object started to turn in the sky and we saw a very low profiled, dim, dark object flying quietly with very low green lights in dot shapes almost in a weird rectangle shape( ::: ) but we noticed the front was angled (like,
