Deep in the Heart of Texas
Dozens in Texas Town Report Seeing UFO gives us the full details on these reports. Sightings of low-flying craft, at times being chased by military aircraft, have been made by some folks with high credibility-a pilot, a county official, business owners, and more. In one of the more remarkable sightings, Steve Allen, who owns a freight company, and is also a pilot, made this statement:
"People wonder what in the world it is because this is the Bible Belt, and everyone is afraid it's the end of times."
Allen says that he saw an object last week that was a mile long, and 1/2 mile wide.
"It was absolutely nothing from these parts."
So far, no photographs have been taken of any of the UFOs, but hopefully there will be. I will keep an eye on this one.

I have been reading about this on yahoo and I saw the casebook.com articles. It looks like a major flap in the making; something that might rival the hudson river valley sightings in the 80s and the Phoenix Lights of the 90s. Quite a few sightings in a short period of time. We’ll see how that situation developes.
Always great when you have so many reliable witnesses to the same sighting. What perplexes me is that in today’s world nobody who saw it had a camera phone or something that could have provided a visual image.
For Casey - I think these sightings can happen so quickly and the lights or objects move so quickly that people either can’t move quickly enough to take a photo, even if they have the equipment– and/or they are so dumbfounded by the event that their ability to respond and get a photo is temporarily suspended. I’m surprised at the number of photos and video footage I’ve seen around.
Guys, watch CNN,they are showing footage of the crafts from witness’s who captured it on video phones
I’ve seen plenty in the sky, and
seems, I never had a camera phone,
or camera on me, its strange…
So, if I see things without camera’s
I think others could be in the same
boat…
This whole UFO thing is so frustrating. I think just about everyone commenting here would love to see more tangible proof. I think that we all just about believe, but we need that little bit of reliable extra to cement our beliefs. Not that we are all “doubting Thomases”. On the contrary; but after hundreds of reported sightings since the 1950’s, the “no camera” excuse, is a poor excuse. Out of all these people who saw what they say, had no camera in hand or within reach, don’t you think that there would be at least some of them able to draw a reasonably acceptable facsimile describing what was in front of their eyes? Any child in grade school could put together a rough sketch of what appeared before them. Especially if the object was a mile long and half a mile wide like the one the Texan saw. That must have been something to see. What a size! But then, everything is big in Texas. Maybe that Texan could provide a sketch for us? I know that Texans are loaded with talent.
I suspect that the reason for no photos could be surprise and fear. Thirty six years ago, I saw a very simular object, the same size, that actually hoovered above my car, shining a intense blue white beam of light directly on my car, while on my way home from work, at midnight. Of couse at that time camera phones didn’t exist, but if they had I know that I would not have been able to use one. I was terrified at the time of this sighting, my entire body shook, and all I could think of was how badly I wanted to get home and to safety. Perhaps the people who witnessed this object felt the same way I did?
In 1993 my family and I were on our way back to Minnesota from Chattanooga TN,after purchasing a brand new 1994 Dodge Conversion van because our 1984 Van broke down.We had to travel all night in order to get back to Duluth as school was beginning and we were both teachers. My daughter sat in the front passenger seat to keep me company so I would’nt fall asleep. At around 10:00 p.m. we picked up a tag-a-long.A UFO followed our Van for at least an hour. My daughter was very frightened as we watched it weave in and out among the trees as it followed us.I was’nt about to stop and take a picture. It soared off into the night sky as quickly as it had appeared.
I find it hard to believe that a U.F.O. was following the family in Minnesota for 1 hour why didnt they stop at a fuel station to get another witness to the sighting and maybe the clerk would have a camera, I am not doubting there word but you would think they would have tried to stop another car so they could see the sighting Oh well everyone reacts different, all I know is I wish I could have seen it HAPPY TRAILS Yvonne
I can say I saw something very unusual for a few moments once. It hovered silently in a rocking fashion only a hundred or so meters above my head. Because it was dark and I could not make out an outline. I could only see an arrangement of lights. Then, whatever it was disappeared over the western horizon so quickly that I wondered if it merely dropped out of the sky in the distance.
An unusual charcteristic about the sighting in TX is the size of the object sighted. Mile long and half mile wide, said one observer. A huge saucer kwas also sighted near the English Channel by British pilot not long ago. I think I read about another large saucer sighted elsewhere recently. Perhaps large UFOs are current trend of sorts?
In reply to Yvonne Sly.We wer’nt in Minnesota, we were heading back home to Minnesota. In that period of time where we were being followed, there was’nt a gas station or a single place to stop off. Maybe Yvonne has mor intestinal fortitude than I do. I was’nt going to jeopardize my family’s safety to get a picture out in the middle of nowhere.I’m a survivor. I did’nt spend two tours in Viet Nam, in the Marine Corps by being foolish. Think about it Yvonne before you make any comments.
Wow! Nice reply Paul.
I want to say that if someone, anyone wants to see a UFO stay tuned to what people in your local neighborhood are saying. This is how I saw what I saw. Flaps don’t necessarily last a long time, a few days at the most. When you hear your neighbors and friends talking about strange things they saw in the sky go out and take a look yourself. And, be patient. It might take a long time looking at the sky (in fact, it can be very boring) By the time it hits the local news (and then the national news), it’s usually already over, and you missed it.
For whatever it’s worth.
How true and by the time everyone goes out and looks the ufo is gone and then they start thinking they are crazy and the goverment can say well they didn’t know what they saw and it was only one time so we doubt it was aliens. Looking at the night sky whenever you can is my advie eventually you wil see something strange you can’t explain.
I know that there have been times when I had a camera with me, but was so involved with what I was seeing that I forgot I had the thing in my hand. Whether it’s Bigfoot, Nessie or a UFO, It’s no surprise that a large percentage, if not most, witnesses miss getting pictures.
Stephenville is very interesting because there is so much corroboration among so many credible witnesses. This one does bear some serious investigation.
And it don’r matter what the offical goverment responce is,we all know what the truth is and what we saw.
