UFO Sighting Reports

Welcome, folks, to another session of UFO sightings from around the world. Let's take a look at some of the best reports of this last week.

Arizona-04-24-08-I was sitting on my patio at my apartment on the southeast side of Tucson relaxing. My patio faces towards the south. Something caught my eye and I looked up to the sky to see an object that kind of looked like a satellite moving across the sky from the north to the south. I thought it seemed like a bright star. I watched it for about 10 or 15 seconds, and then it just blinked out and disappeared. I watched the area for a few minutes to see if it would come back on, but it didn't. There weren't any flashing lights, or sounds.

I continued to sit on my patio, and about 15 minutes later, I saw what looked like a similar star-type object flying from the south to the north, only this one was further to the west. It was going in a straight line, and getting closer. As it was getting to be closer to being over head, it blinked out like before. It just disappeared and there was no sign of it. Again there were no flashing lights, no sound, just a star-like object. I thought it was strange that if it were a plane, that its lights would just turn off like that. So, I don't know what I saw, I've never seen a satellite blink out, and they don't look as bright as this object did.

California-04-09-08-I live in northern California in the mountains. I star gaze all the time, and know the flight patterns for my area. Last night my husband noticed a vert bright white-yellow moving star. (I know Venus, and this was NOT Venus). It made an elliptical orbit, kind of like a "J." Then, it turned into a plane!

I'm not kidding. We were watching through binoculars and all the lights dimmed when my husband screamed, "It's shifting."

In the next moment all we saw was something resembling a standard aircraft. Very strange. There was no sound and it was not a flight pattern used before. source: www.mufon.com

Massachusetts-03-21-08-Around 2 AM, on March 21, 2008, my sister and I were driving on 495 north near the Milford exit and in front of us in the sky appeared a very large ball of light that seemed to have some sort of darker "core." It hung there for a few seconds, and then fell in a slightly wavering line towards the ground. In terms of size, if a normal shooting star (which this is definitely not) was the size of a golf ball, what we saw would be equivalent to a basketball. At the time we were the only car on the highway that we could see.

We both immediately fell silent, and after a few more seconds both expressed total astonishment at what we'd seen. We both independently described it as looking as if the object had "popped" into the atmosphere from outer space and then fell to Earth.

Texas-04-05-08-My husband and I were outside enjoying the clear night. The stars were very bright. My husband noticed something odd in the sky, and pointed it out to me. He had been watching it for about 5 seconds before I noticed it. We live near Dallas/Ft. Worth airport, so we see and hear the planes flying over our house daily. This was different.

Usually the planes are coming in traveling to the south. This object was traveling from south to north. It had no wings or tail. No lights. I almost didn't notice it because it seemed faint, and was only reflecting the light from the ground. Also there was no sound. There were other aircraft in the area, but they were a distance away as we observed this sighting. My husband and I both agreed that it had the shape of a gelcap or cigar shape.

It was moving faster than any of the planes in the sky. Faster than those coming in to the airport, and faster than any planes flying over the airport. We have never seen anything like this. I emailed a local TV station, curious if we were the only ones who noticed it. I didn't get a response, so we figured that no one else noticed it. Like I said, it seemed faint and reflecting ground light, so it doesn't surprise me. Any idea what we saw? The whole event lasted maybe 10 seconds before it faded away.

I thought maybe it was a meteor or birds: possibly a small aircraft with a malfunction in its light system. But none of that makes sense. We have been curious ever since. We would love to know if there is a logical explanation. source: www.mufon.com

Washington-04-11-08-Seattle-I was on the 18th floor of the Hyatt in Bellevue last night, eating my dinner and star watching. All of a sudden, an object flew by in front of my building. Flying slightly higher than the buildings (low) and in front of me, it came and went quickly, but I did have time to get my binoculars locked on to it and it was the strangest thing I have ever looked at.

My husband observed it as well with the naked eye and also was fascinated with it. Its lights were very bright. It had lights on 4 sides and one in the middle, and it was kind of oval shaped, and I couldn't tell where the front of the craft was, nor the back, nor the top nor the bottom.

I only saw it from one angle as it went by... and if I had to guess, to me it looked like I was seeing it from the bottom (but that would mean it was flying sideways ...). It was a decently large object, not very long-kind of fat-seemed really "mechanical," like the bottom of some huge craft on Star Wars, but it wasn't huge, it was nothing like any kind of plane, and moved quickly by-not "out of this world" quick, but definitely fast. source: www.mufon.com

That will close it out for this week, but be sure to check back next week for more sighting reports. Until then, keep your eyes on the skies.
