Big Day for Bigfoot Hunters?

There has been a recent development in the world of cryptozoology that you might find interesting. Although only loosely connected to UFOs, some people do believe that there might be a link between the hairy creature known as "Bigfoot" and UFOs. To be able to prove that the mysterious hairy monster is more than a legend, one would need a specimen, wouldn't they? Well, a couple of Bigfoot hunters claim to have just that... a body of the beast!
On Friday, August 15, there will be a press conference held at the Cabana Hotel in Palo Alto, California, where DNA and photographic evidence of the body will be shown to members of the press. The body was discovered by two Bigfoot hunters, Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, in northern Georgia. Naturally, I am anxious to see this compelling evidence before I believe that a real Bigfoot has been found. From what I’ve seen these guys aren’t very credible. I wouldn’t believe a word they say without evidence examined by a real scientist.

If bigfoot existed some evidence would exist of it. The fact that there is NO evidence has to tell us something. It doesn’t exist, plain and simple. The wilderness is not barren enough to hide bigfoot creatures these days. I could see some small mamals existing out there that haven’t been found or something in the sea, but a population of bigfoot creatures? Not a chance! Sorry to tell the gullible that.
I had a good laugh reading the DNA results. What type of individual does this type of thing in this day and age and think he can get away with it. How can anyone believe anything this guy ever says again. (see the link).
One of the two samples of DNA said to prove the existence of the Bigfoot came from a human and the other was 96 percent from an opossum, according to Curt Nelson, a scientist at the University of Minnesota who performed the DNA analysis.
Bigfoot creatures are said to live in the forests of the U.S. Pacific Northwest. An opossum is a marsupial about the size of a house cat.
I’m sorry but I believe this to be a fake, these guys do have video’s on you tube and I’m not impressed by the picture of there so called bigfoot, furthermore I do not remember anyone every really saying that the bigfoot creatures have teeth like humans, I do not believe anyone has ever been that close to one of them so it would be very easy for someone to fake the finding and say the teeth are more human like, how would we know for certain? we have nothing to back that up with. I think there is a strong possibility that there are some creatures that exist in the woods today that we have no knowledge of I do believe there could possibly be a creature like bigfoot that does exist, but I highly doubt that someone just happened to come across the body of one of these creatures. Furthermore this would be a major breakthrough for science and bigfoot hunters if this was the real thing a major breakthrough. So why is this not being presented to the public and the press for the public? Why would you hide a find like that? If you just think this through for a few minutes you will see there are things that just simply do not add up on this deal and I’m sorry to say but I believe it to be nothing more than a fake.
Whether this is a fake or not, I cannot say, not having the opportunity to see it for myself. As far as human teeth are concerned, well, I for one think it is possible that it is a human that was perhaps experimented on and it was mutated. Humans have proved to be quite phsychotic in behaviour, cruel, sadistic and under the heading of science committed unbelievable attrocities, so one should keep an open mind. To the question, ‘why keep it secret?’ well, there could be a number of answers. Did these men shoot this being? If this being had a DNA which was a combination of human and some other being, then that would make it murder, wouldn’t it? All living things have a right to life! Perhaps these beings have an intelligence that is higher than ours? Perhaps they may even be aware that in our society there would be no place for them and thus are forced to hide from us? So many questions… and not enough answers. But, as I said, one cannot go by hearsay… I have not seen this poor creature, dead or alive and thus cannot make a rash judgement.
Well I saw a big foot from 4 feet in upper NJ. So yes they are real. There is a person out west who deals with them personally. I saw the videos and he wants me to stay with him so I can see them in person. He is not about to sell out he is a healer. On the other hand these two men that say they have evedence should of went to a hospital with it or even to musieum. They would have gotten on it. Why would you wait because the thing is decomposing. Well I hate to break it to all of you, your all wrong! This is the real thing no matter what you want to believe. They have a body, its not a suit or costume, there’s also a picture of it showing the inside of the mouth with tongue hanging out…you see these are just two country boys who are out to make as much money as they can off of what they found, and I don’t blame them, I’d do the same thing and I wouldn’t turn over the body for someone else to make money and fame off it. I’d do just what their doing, take my time, keep the body froze and intact to be studied by scientist and other’s in respect of the different fields. I don’t know what has people in such an up-roar about this, maybe its the fact that it kills the mystery of it all, no more mystery, no more Bigfoot specials on TV, gee!! If you ask me your all gonna have to eat your words here, you just don’t find a body like this everyday, the picture shows it clearly with guts hanging out in the lower portion of the picture. The mis-information is typical of an unknown creature, they don’t keep sample Bigfoot DNA stock strands to compare back in the lab since this is the first one to be found. These creatures have existed for centuries and have maintained their concealed indiscretion to stay out of the human limelight. Its like the guy said in the press conference, there’s plenty of planes down that are never located, its a big planet and we don’t live on ever square inch of it, not by a long shot. All of you can go ahead and pull the foot out of your mouth, you’ve got it rammed in there pretty good now, open your eyes to the evidence that’s already been presented and you’ll start to figure out, “Hey, these guys have a Bigfoot body”, now wipe that tear away as a great mystery has been solved and look for all the new info to follow about the creatures.
Scott [and whoever else]: When it comes to the DNA, think about it logically… the “bigfoot” had a pretty large open wound on its abdomen, which was how they found it. When you think about it, that clearly explains the opossum DNA test result and could possibly explain the human DNA test result. Of course, we don’t know what bigfoot DNA looks like– its DNA could be similar to any number of animals, which could easily return false results. But in my opinion, the opossum DNA simply came from an opossum beginning a feast before the men ruined his party…
An article on Fox says that the “body” has been examined and has turned out to be a rubber costume. Oh, and the two perps have vanished into thin air with a certain sum of money.

Debbie, I understand what you say, but as for the Bigfoot body finding being a breakthrough in science which should be allowed to be viewed by the public if it is genuine, what about the alleged UFO crashes, we could have made some major scientific breakthroughs with the alleged alien bodies, but they were not made public?
I can see by reading some of the messages above how these individuals are able to get enough courage to attempt this hoax. Some of the responses above must be from people who never went to high school. These people must live out in the woods and away from civilization. Amazing in this day and age.
And by the way JP I think what we would expect to see out of a bigfoot creature is something similar to humans, monkeys and apes. It wouldn’t be identical, although it would share some similarities. I can see these guys finding a road kill and taking blood out of it and mixing a little human blood in with it and thinking they’ll be OK. LOL, complete morons.

“That jibes with what Jerry Parrino, owner of Internet Halloween-costume retailer TheHorrorDome.com, told FOXNews.com last week.
“It definitely looks like our [Sasquatch] costume,” Parrino said after viewing photos of the body.
The Biscardi team immediately went into crisis mode. Biscardi called Whitton and Dyer at their California hotel.
They admitted it was a hoax and agreed to sign a promissory note at a meeting set for 8 a.m. Pacific time at the hotel.
But when Biscardi got there, he “found that they had left.”
“At this time action is being instigated against the perpetrators of this fraud,” Kulls writes on Biscardi’s Web site. “On behalf of myself I can say with certainty Matthew Whitton and Ricky Dyer [are] not the best Bigfoot trackers in the world!”
Loren Coleman, who runs the influential Cryptomundo.com Web site devoted to mysterious animals, isn’t buying Biscardi’s pleas of ignorance.
“He’s a huckster, a circus ringmaster,” Coleman told FoxNews.com. “It’s all about money with him. It probably didn’t matter to him whether it was real or not.”
So why would Dyer, described as a former security guard, and Whitton, a police officer with the Clayton County, Ga., department, make it all up?
“They probably started out small, as a way to promote their Bigfoot tracking business, and got in way over their heads,” Coleman figured. “These are not very intelligent individuals.”
The involvement of Biscardi, who Coleman says was introduced to the pair by Kulls, brought them attention they didn’t need.
“In a way, both sides may have been trying to out-con each other,” said Coleman.
The Bigfoot Field Research Organization, another Bigfoot group that refused to take seriously what Coleman dubbed the “Georgia gorilla,” wants everyone connected with the “body” — Biscardi, Dyer, Kulls and Whitton — arrested.
“Warrants need to be issued immediately before Biscardi leaves the country,” the organization’s Web site states.
As for Whitton, he doesn’t seem to have a job to come back to in Georgia.
Asked for comment on Officer Whitton, Clayton County, Ga., Chief of Police Jeffrey Turner, corrected FoxNews.com. “You mean ex-officer Whitton.”
“As soon as we saw it was a hoax,” Chief Turner explained, “I filed the paperwork to terminate his employment.”
Turner said he hasn’t heard from Whitton, and that he was mystified at the former officer’s involvement in such a blatant scam.
“He was a real go-getter,” Turner said, citing Whitton’s wounding in the line of duty earlier this summer while apprehending a suspect who had allegedly shot a woman in the head. “For someone to do a complete three-sixty like that, I can’t explain it.”
The woman who answered the phone at Biscardi’s Searching for Bigfoot office in Menlo Park, Calif., said he was out ill but would return calls when he could.”
Yea Matt, I’m pulling the foot out of my throat….gee I feel so used!! I will admit that I just can’t see why anyone would lie and ruin their standing in this world. Its like these idiots thought no one in the world would catch on to their little prank/hoax or that they never realized they would have more to pay than to earn pulling a stunt like this. I do apologize to everyone here, I’m the dweeb this time. This is the way I was thinking; no one in the world would go national with a story like this unless it was true, I mean they use a costume stuffed with paper and guts and think they will get away with it? I don’t understand and I’m one of the most trusting guys on the planet I guess. I’ve learned that nothing is below someone’s dignity these days, I do still believe in the Bigfoot sightings, these guys aren’t gonna ruin that for me, but gee I feel very duped.
