Another Hoaxed Video

Sunday August 31, 2008
UFO over MumbaiIn just the last few days, there have been some interesting reports on UFO sightings in the country of India. Several online newspapers have reported on these, and at least one of them linked to an alleged video of a sighting which occurred at the Gateway of India on August, 28.

Also reported were landings of UFOs at Thane and Kalyan, with multiple witnesses coming forward, according to the source. The best evidence to any event is photographic or video, so I thought I would go over and check out this so-called amazing video. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but it wouldn't take but a few words to describe how fake the video is. You can check it out for yourself, and I'm sure you will agree. I put a small frame capture of the video above right.

Now, herein lies the problem. Without more information, does the fact the video is not authentic make the rest of the reports bogus as well, or do we separate the two, and still believe the sighting reports? What do you think?

You’re right, the video is bogus. If the video is bogus, and that’s the basis of the claims, then the rest has to be bogus until better evidence comes forward.

Michael, I respect your opinion, but be careful not to fall into the misinformation trap. Imagine any spectacular event that you might be a witness to and then imagine if that same event is then written up by another person, who may or may not have even been an actual witness, and that person makes their write up clearly inaccurate and even includes a video which wasn’t even what you saw. A 3rd party reader/watcher, using your logic, would immediately discount the event based on the bogus witness story and video and no longer take your account serious due to another’s actions.

I’m not suggesting accuracy or inaccuracy in teh report, but clearly the video is a joke. Just be careful not to form an opinion so quickly until you’ve reviewed all of the data. Just imagine if there were actual landings in India.. you’d sure hate to ignore them because somebody who wanted to keep them secret made them seem like a joke. Remember Roswell?!

You cannot conjure up these sightings and I once said they are indeed in the delicate way to put it as just like a butterfly…one minute nothing untoward… and the next you can be that special witness leaving you to live with the memory. Keep awatch all.

There are many people who think one fake proves all sightings are fakes. Would these same people think that some counterfit money means that all money is counterfit?

“does the fact the video is not authentic make the rest of the reports bogus as well”

no, the reports stand on their own merits. However, a few good pics besides good testimony from credible witnesses is the best. Need both of those things to make it a great event. One witness or one pic isn’t quite as good.
