Smoky Mountain Mystery
Monday November 3, 2008
What would you think about a story from a man who claimed that while hiking in the Smoky Mountains one day, he found a video camera. After he took it home, and looked at what was on it, he was surprised to see this amazing footage of a triangular-shaped UFO that shoots
a red laser beam? He claims that nothing else was on the camera.
You would say, "What are the odds?" A million to one. Well, this is exactly what one man claims. This has been discussed over the Net on UFO discussion boards and forums, and most people believe it is the real thing. Here is your chance to give your opinion. Be sure to let us know what you think about the UFO over Smoky Mountains.

you know it Billy. of course the story this guy comes up with is pure nonsense.
Billy,
It’s the exact footage that is supposed to be the Irish red laser beam sighting of this summer. Who knows which footage is which if it isn’t triple checked/confirmed. Hmmm…
Arlene
It says on the Youtube page it is a fake, so why even bother posting it here?
I immediately thought it was a fake. Something just felt ‘off’.
oh dear another blooper
Like way too many UFO videos posted online, no surrounding objects or horizon visible in order to get any sense of scale or distance. Could well be a toy held by a child in a neighbor’s back yard. Any videos of lights on a pitch black visual field are highly suspect. Could have any number of purely mundane explanations. Same can be said for objects shown on a pure blue sky field. Again, no points of reference. The object could be a mile wide or an inch wide (and a model). Won’t even go into all the photos posted that are obviously birds in flight so they appear as a smudge or blur. I’m not a skeptic. I believe there’s a real phenomenon. I just don’t believe the “irrefutable proof” image that’s going to make someone a bazillionaire exists and is posted online anywhere.
Hi Billy
Arlene has got it right on the numbers !!!
This is the exact same footage that was supposedly featured at that Irish UFO covention…and which you asked “us” to comment about very, very recently.
I love this web site but can I respectfully suggest that before you post any more U Tube links… purporting to show a triangular UFO that shoots out red laser beams into the dark night sky…that you actually view the footage yourself.
You clearly didn’t do it on this occasion and that is embarrasing. How are we ever going to convince the cynics if even dedicated people like you are so easily duped into repeating an old, old and now very tired story. Sorry Billy but it had to be said.
Dang you guys are harsh on Billy. Just imagine - he’s looking at his RSS Subscriber list and going “OH crap! I better write something for these XXXX people to read” so he did it.
At least it makes a cool campfire story or something right.
Hello Billy. I don’t know about the “Irish” footage, since I’ve never seen it…but I did find a triangle/red laser film today linked to Fortean Times that’s interesting (if not convincing). It was reported by the Sun, it allegedly happened in Bristol, England.

Funny thing, those who have never seen anything like this always seem to know it is a fake.
I went to the site thinking it was probably a fake however I actually sighted one of these over St. Clair County in Illinois. This is the location of a famous sighting which was on TV several times. The object in that program was a triangle. The one I saw had an identical lighting arrangement to the video including the blinking center light. The camera goes in and out of focus just as an auto focus camera would under these conditions. My conclusion is that there is a 90 percent chance that it is the real thing regardless of comments on the site.
I wonder what happened to the guy who filmed the footage???
