A UFO Hotspot in New Hampshire?

By , About.com Guide   January 24, 2009

Follow me on:

Everyone seems to have their own Roswell, and the east coast of the United States is no exception. Some call the small city of Exeter, New Hampshire, the "East Coast Roswell," and this distinction does not come lightly. A recent article tells us all about it.

As many of you who are students of Ufology already know, Exeter was the location of one of Ufology's most well documented cases, The Incident at Exeter. Not long after the 1965 sightings became public, a book was written by investigative writer John G. Fuller, which made it to the best seller list.

The history of Exeter is full of many sighting reports, and other phenomenal activities. The area has been the location of many UFO reports of disc-shaped objects, along with the mysterious triangle-shaped objects.

It has always been strange to me that certain areas are "hotspots" for UFOs. Could there be some reason for this? Many theories have been offered to explain hotspots, and yet the verdict is still out. Do any of you have a theory? Tell us about it.

Billy! There was supposedly a great sighting at the inauguration! The Fox News Channel had a report and some pretty good photos about it on their morning newscast! Check it out! It looks quite credible to me!

Connie you may want to look at this before you get your hopes up about that inauguration “ufo”

I’m sorry but that was so clearly a bird. There wasn’t even question in my mind when I saw it, it didn’t look like anything else.

I think people want to see a UFO so bad that they take anything that fly’s by in a blurry video or a distorted blurred light as “credible”.
I’m not saying this directly to you Connie, it’s just a general observation. Believe me I want proof as bad as anyone else…

I agree with Cristin on this one. I found the cleanest version of the video on CNN, then blew up my monitor to full screen, and you can see that the object cuts in front of the monument, you can even see wings flapping. Looks like a bird flying close to the camera. On the different video that is blurred it looks much more curious.

The very best salt-water fishing in my area is out at the bell buoy. Does this mean there are no fish elsewhere? No. It means only that almost everybody goes to the bell buoy to fish, because that is where almost all of the fishing reports, real or otherwise come from.

I think UFO “hot spots” may be the same deal. It is where everybody looks up, expecting to see something.

What you are seeing is Homeland Security Surveillance blimps.. believe me I know. They are not UFOs, they are spy blimps to keep track of the people. They are preparing for domestic unrest as its’ quite possible when you find out what is to come.

I have the video of the UFO fly over at my blog at http://theufoconnection.blogspot.com/
it is definitely not a bird, it looks more like a fighter plane to me but extremely fast.

The video from CNN is clearly a bird (yes you can see the wings flapping) and everybody would have heard a fighter jet.

UFO hotspots are where the UFOs are, so that’s where people are looking, just as people who are fishing go where the fish are.

So what people saw in and around Exeter in 1965 were Homeland Security Surveillance blimps? HS doesn’t need a blimp to keep track of me. They can just ask my wife. :)

UFO hotspots exist for reasons unknown. Maybe it’s the earth’s magnetic field. Maybe it’s the proximity to some kind of portal. Maybe they just like certain areas. Maybe someday we’ll all know but for now it’s all part of the mystery.

getting back to Exeter….maybe there is something in the region of interest. Maybe a certain biological, mineral, chemical, geological, or magnetic anomaly is there. Maybe there’s an unknown government base up there. Maybe only one or two sightings are legit and the others due to overactive imagination. Maybe it’s no different then any other spot in the country. However, there must have been a reason they were there at a low altitude in the first place. But why would a UFO come down to nearly this guys head level and then take off again without apparently doing anything. We always think these sighting have meaningful exlainations but perhaps it was just alien ‘joy-riding’.

Are UFO hotspots in areas with less conventional air traffic? Such areas could be more attractive to something wanting to lose altitude. They could simply be navigational way(spelling?) points; we have them, why wouldn’t they?

Maybe it has something to do with observing Phillips Exeter Academy.

These are called Flap areas. Look at my articles on UFO Digest and alienseekernews. UFOS tend to migrate around certain spots. John keel, John Fuller and others have noticed that there M
