Edgar Mitchell in the Spotlight Again

Once again, ex-Astronaut Edgar Mitchell has grabbed the headlines. While speaking at last weekend's "X-Conference 2009" in Maryland, Mitchell claimed that because of Earth's environmental and energy concerns, disclosure of extraterrestrial involvement with our planet is necessary.
Of course, this implies that our government is hiding secrets about ET visitations. Also, the concern of how we handle the repercussions of this knowledge being made public was addressed by Mitchell.
Many of the advocates of public release of UFO secrets are hoping that President Obama's promises for a more "open government" will soon bring about an official announcement that we have indeed been visited by extraterrestrial beings.

he has said this before and most didnt believe him and tried to debunk him right away but theres something about his convictions that take me back to a time 30yrs ago listening to guidence from my grandpa when i was wee sitting on an old porch swing with him nobody gave him the time of day either but i did and most of what he said reigns true to this day in my life so you better listen to him hes trying to clear his conscience before he begins his eternal sleep or else we could run that weather balloon story out there again if it makes you feel better but i think 60yrs of weather balloons stories are looking a little thin right now

I think that it is interesting that yesterday, 04/21/09, mainstream media, such as CNN and local NBC affiliates, aired this recent Edgar Mitchell story. It would seem the mainstream press was impressed enough with Mitchell’s credentials to air the story.
With how utilized and usable the Internet is, today, where reports of sightings, video, audio, and photos are easily shared, found, and reviewed - it is no longer difficult to learn where the latest reported sighting occurred, or who in the UFO community is doing what.
Meanwhile, so many more people in the United States and around the world think the UFO phenomenon is likely real, if not extraterrestrial.
I think these are interesting times.
Wonder how long this little game is going to go on? We have beings from other planets on this globe for many years now - since before Eisenhower was in office. They are in Dulce, Area 51 and other sites. They are moving about among us.
In 1989 I encountered a very huge ship and they are appearing for us regularly. No the government’s game can’t continue much longer. We have been introduced bit by bit for many years but in such a negative way as if they are definitely enemies but not so.

However; for the sake of credibility and ethical unbiased reporting, let’s be careful with statements like: ” Of course, this implies that our government is hiding secrets about ET visitations”. This statement does not draw as a logical conclusion from Mitchell’s claims.
Another good blog Billy. I always give special attention to reports from people who have something to lose, reputation not being the least. Dr. Mitchell has the experience and knowledge that make him uniquely able to contribute to our our ongoing search of the facts. I’m glad you have been blessed with a thick skin and don’t seem to be offended by the wandering fools who try to find fault with everything posted. I’m not referring to Lucas and his remark about the use of the “of course“ comment, actually his point is well taken but this is a blog not a thesis. If someone wanted to they could rip apart my grammar and syntax, then I could sue them for defamation of character, of course that’s assuming I had any. Keep posting… Lucas and I are not the only ones who appreciate your work and input.

Maybe we are in special times now, nations fears nations, climate change etc.. that what we know to date is about to change and leaders have stated that fact. I think all should seek their inner spirituality or sixth sense. Those that have special experiences may have this already which has enabled them to see. To know we are not alone will be a huge shock to some so others have to help them including every religion acknowledging this fact. I would so very much like to share some intelligent discourse with you on what have been some of your experiences.
Edgar Mitchell is an education bright guy who holds numerous honors. He has been involved in many things paranormal since his apollo days. However, you can be a really smart guy and still be a little bit of a wierdo. I don’t know if the statement below from WIkipedia is true, but they seem a little odd given his education and accomplishments. I just think he needs to be a little careful about some of the things he says. If some of these things he mentioned (esp, remote healing) were true then someone would have James Randi’s (the skeptic) prize of one million dollars by now. Noone has proven to have ESP, and I mean not one person. Remote healing hasn’t been proven either of course. But I think he is probably right about UFOs. Too many people seeing too many things. It’s just that his involvment in other very dubious paranormal phenomena worries me a little.
‘Mitchell’s interests include consciousness and paranormal phenomena. During the Apollo 14 flight he conducted private ESP experiments with his friends on Earth. In early 1973, he founded the nonprofit Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) to conduct and sponsor research into areas that mainstream science has found unproductive, including consciousness research and psychic events.
Remote healing
Mitchell says that a teenage remote healer who lives in Vancouver and uses the pseudonym Adam Dreamhealer helped him heal of kidney cancer at a distance. Mitchell said that while he never had a biopsy (the definitive test for cancer), “I had a sonogram and MRI that was consistent with renal carcinoma.” Adam worked (distantly) on Mitchell from December of 2003 until June of 2004, when the “irregularity was gone and we haven’t seen it since”.’

Mitchell has been claiming the reality of UFOs for years. What the government knows about them is anyone’s guess. Yes, as many do I’m convinced they aren’t telling everything, but aliens controlling the NWO?

Good to see there’s intelligent conversations gracing this blog, as always. Scott points out major flaws in Mitchell’s credibility which everyone in the UFO community should pay attention to and apply a layer of skepticism before simply following blindly. He’s an astronaut…astronauts are still regular people, I don’t care what anyone says. And regular people are just as likely to suffer from mental maladies or make up stores to sell books…
After 42 years of study I have found no evidence that UFO’s = alien spacecraft (extraterrestrials) or ultraterrestrials for that matter. Try this book: The UFO Handbook ‘A Guide to investigating, evaluating & reporting UFO sightings by Allan Hendry. This guy’s a genius.
I sometimes think Edgar suffers from too many “Element 115” cocktails, but I don’t think he’s a smoker.
I was SHOCKED when I told my Catholic Priest UFOs were real and they probably put US here; and that in my Opinion they Put Jesus Christ here to teach us love and forgiveness; and he FULLY AGREED with me! He said the Vatican is pushing to open up alien/UFO dialouge; and that aliens have souls as we do. He told me he expects before 2012 a full disclosure to be made at the request of the Pope.
According to Stephen Bassett /Paradigm Research Group / X Conference 2009 it was suggested that we may possibly have some disclosure in May 2009 from the president. Some of the people in Obama’s administration are wanting to address the E.T. / U.F.O. phenomena.
If the current administration doesn’t release this information then Stephen Bassett says the Paradign Research Group will disclose some important information on their own…which may in my opinion put the heat on Obama to come forward and address this soon afterward…or another country will do so before the United States. What this information is I have no clue, but it must be pretty convincing.
As for Edgar Mitchell…he is just one of many outstanding citizens with a superior reputation who has come forward and is requesting our government to come clean and let the public know the truth.
Something will break soon because the demand is becoming more and more intense.
The files will remain buried as long as we have a corporate puppet in the White House. Corporations have been controlling things for decades and their power was entrenched during the Bush fascist regieme. The UFO papers and the truth regarding extraterrestrials will only be revealed when we have someone in the oval office with the courage to stand up to the corporate agenda and do what is right for all the people.

I understand the people saying Obama, despite showing no interest in/knowledge of UFO’s etc, may stumble upon certain deep black projects concerning them and so on, and I hope that proves right, though I can’t help thinking that those truly in charge may withhold that from him. And do you really think he’ll shout one day “I discovered there are aliens here”? Even if he finds out, we won’t hear, and will just see him backing off on his ‘government transparency’ a bit.
The Government has no choice but to maintain the cover-up. If the truth is ever exposed to the the world, it will be the end of the Human Race. The Aliens are in control and have the capacity to destroy the Earth. They have done it before. This is not the first world to reach this crossroad. This isn’t the first time an Astronaut has come forward to either push for disclosure from the Govt. or relay their own personal experiences. I can’t see our Govt. coming forward with the truth now mainly because of the decades of lies. It would be cool to know the truth - “the good-the bad- and the ugly of it all” - But those who have spent so much time keeping the truth at bay will never willingly relinquish that control.

There are always leaks. Even something so secretive will get out eventually. There was a famous U.S. journalist named, Jack Anderson, who came out with the story and not long after he was discredited and everyone thought he was nuts. He wasn’t. Anderson had proof. After he died the FBI tried to get his papers, notes, etc. They claimed it was related to another subject he wrote about. It wasn’t. Some people know the truth but sometimes the truth is a dangerous thing to have. I have said more than I should already.

The only true disclosure will happen when it is forced. When our brothers and sisters aka the ETs/visitors actually reveal themselves to the world then and only then will there be any disclosure.
