Man Claims Possession of Official UFO Files

Monday June 8, 2009
The WVEC news site is reporting that Cameron Pack, a Virginia Beach resident, once saw three lights in a triangle formation hover over the Virginia Beach Amphitheater.

But Pack, an avid UFO researcher, has made another claim: he has Virginia Beach official UFO files. He claims that the files list some 70 reports going back to 1976.

This seems very interesting, but there is just one catch to the story. The Virginia Beach police department says that they do not have UFO files. They also state that they never kept such files. Where have I heard this before?

Pack says he obtained them from the Freedom of Information Act. Well, who would you believe in this case? And, are there other police departments with hidden files on UFOs?

By UFO file do you mean a document stating the cops saw something that they could not identify? Before we see the documents its difficult to say how useful these could be. I’m guessing they will contain witness statements, possibly drawing, even photos… but we’ve had all this before and even when police officers have been the witnesses.

And more anecdotal even though its documented is hardly proof of anything for science. We already have this form of anecdotal evidence released by the British government, French and several others which haven’t made much of an impression in terms of providing real proof, so I doubt this will either. What we need is specific govt. documents released by officials that either state we’ve been in contact with ETs or the ET craft or the ET itself whether they wish to land and chat or not.

Providing this can be determined not to be a hoax this may still be a piece of the puzzle to make up the complete picture.

Another point… just because some gov. or police organisation says they don’t keep ufo files doesn’t mean they are purposely covering anything up… it’s more likely that any police officers who originally investigated the case just didn’t find any proof of aliens, and since then the records have been stored away undisturbed until the FOI act brought them out into the open. And also more likely that those who were ther at the time just forgotten about the whole incident(s), and the majority just never knew anything about it in the first place, or weren’t around at the time it happened. The same with the government officials stating they don’t keep ufo files, it’s likely that they just don’t know about them and are not purposely covering anything up.

Although hopefully these kind of releases will eventually lead to every G7 country worldwide releasing at least a portion and hopefully open the floodgates towards full disclosure.

There is NO “cover-up” or “secret files” going on by small town America Police agencies.

Understand their mission: They are not paranormal research agencies. They investigate CRIME. No more, no less.

If the crew of a UFO throws a candy fit and holds up the 7-11 for Hershey bars, well that;s a crime.

Lights in the sky, being short and gray while running in a neighborhood or flaashing funny lights in the woods are NOT a crime, and the Police have no big interest.

I think that police forces…in every country in the world…probably has a cupboard or two stuffed with all sorts of strange reports about all sorts of strange phenomena including UFOs.

There these reports sit, gathering dust, because as teabone rightly points out, the priority of every police force (and every police officer in them) is to uphold the law and to catch the bad guys.

I don’t think that there is any sort of conspiracy by police forces to keep these reports from the public.

I just think that they have other things to focus on and when these reports are finally released into the public domain, the quality of them is generally quite disappointing.
