Missing Moon Landing Tapes Found
Now, there were copies of the original transmissions, but they were third and fourth generation tapes, and highly compressed, in other words, they were a low quality video.
We have just been told that these tapes have been found, and NASA is planning on airing these soon as part of the 40th celebration of the event.
Parkes Observatory in Australia contained the first generation, high quality transmissions, and these tapes were stored in Perth, and have now been found.
Another interesting aspect of a good quality showing of Armstrong's first steps, and the subsequent events, is that supposedly this will dissuade those who believe that the American's never landed there. It is thought that these new, high grade recordings will put an end to this belief.

Now, that IS interesting! I’m glad we were able to salvage, at least, SOMETHING of value out of the billions of dollars we spent on the project. I wonder if NASA has figured out the cost per frame?
In answer to the question of whether or not I think the newly found tapes will make a difference to those those who think it was all a hoax, my answer to the question is a resounding, no! For the most part, people believe exactly what they want to believe. Any new evidence to the contrary can be easily and conveniently explained away. The then, use this new “insight”, as further evidence of their own pet conspiracy theory. It’s circular logic, just like in the famous 1960’s Pogo cartoon where the characters were tracking the footprints of an unknown “enemy”, only to find that they were tracing their own footprints, and Pogo exclaims “We have found the enemy and they are us!”

Those who think the moon landing was a hoax will have more material to argue about for the next few years. So in that sense, it will make a difference for them. I have to agree with Augustus and Lisa’s comments that conspiracy theorists minds are made up on this subject.
I must agree with Augustus also though for entirely different reasons. I do however enjoy his Pogo scenario and I believe I even caught that episode.
My reasoning for not trusting NASA is simply that they have proven themselves deceivers of the public. I know this sounds harsh but only those that have not researched it are unaware of this. Google “Astronaut Gordon Cooper” with “UFO sighting” attached and just see what he had to say about it. Also, if truly curious, check out the video “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Moon”, a British documentary that shows some very poor editing by NASA video technicians. Of course it may have been par for the day but even with their feeble attempt at doctoring and sending poor quality transmissions it still reeked of amateur hour. In one of the following moon landings the Landing Module is shown viewed from the side of a hill and later, supposedly miles from that original scene, there is the exact same shot with no Lander! The documentary actually layers the two images so you can see they are the same shot with one very significant difference “No Lander”! There are many other details that just don’t add up, such as the immaculate landing pods that appeared as though they had just been polished and were completely debris free. Even the mock ups determined a crater to be formed from the landing thrusters as well as a huge dust cloud but not only was there no crater but there was no evidence of any blast whatsoever. Check out the video, I am not promoting it but for the simple reason that it bundles all the faux pas into one program and leaves you scratching your head and wondering “how much did we spend for these special effects”?
As far as the Astronauts are concerned I believe NASA convinced them that their role in this facade was for the benefit of the United States considering our goal was to beat Russia in the space race. Once the Russians were convinced that we had mastered technology that would allow us to navigate safely through the Van Allen belts, land on an orbiting mass, take samples, anchor our flag, and return safely to Earth they would have to concede that America truly has the right stuff. Shame ILM wasn’t in business back then. Had they been I doubt we would have questioned any of the Apollo missions.

NASA will have to prove they didn’t hoax the landings when they stop editing current pictures and show us the proof through their current photos taken by the lunar orbiter now orbiting the moon. Funny we haven’t seen any evidence. Also the Japen orbiter hasn’t shown any evidence. It’s a HOAX folks.
People have been skewing facts in their favor since time immemorial. That doesn’t make what they said or did a hoax.
For example: Does anyone really believe that Georg Mendel’s experiments with pea sprouts, during the Middle Ages, came out perfectly every time he did his experiments, as he said they did? He was just trying to get his “Gene Theory” accepted, so he fudged a bit to get people’s attention (Even though he was a monk). Does that mean that that it was all a hoax, and recombinant DNA doesn’t really exist? Of course not! DNA exists and it can be clearly shown to do so!
The same principle applies here. I believe NASA did actually doctor the prints. Their reason for doing so was simply P.R. They wanted people to believe they were getting their money’s worth, so they simply made some better pictures, than the Astronauts were able to come up with (they were total armatures at it after all) and banked on people’s innate sense of credulity.
Please remember, this was happening during the height of the Cold War with the U.S.S.R., and at the same time, the CIA was conducting various experiments on the U.S. population without it’s knowledge or consent. They wanted to know our susceptibility to biological, chemical, atomic, and psychological warfare, in the event the Cold War suddenly turned hot. This is why they did nothing to stop the UFO scare from the late 1940’s on. They were studying it. They may have even contributed to it. They wanted to know what the people’s reaction would be, in the event that a foreign power faked a space alien invasion as prelude to war, and very likely, a good many other things as well. No doubt, they have grossly overstepped what should have been their bounds, had they had any.
P.S. The residual effects of the Cold War are certainly some of the reasons we are having little discussion today.

The question before us is not, “Are any of the tapes forgeries”, but rather, “Are of the tapes real”? While it is never possible to prove one did not do such and such a thing, NASA may be able to prove at lease one piece of evidence is real, and therefore; did, in fact send men to Luna.

True, Steven, there have been many positive side effects to space exploration. The jury is still out on many of them though. Everything and everybody has their positive side [even Adolph Hitler; he may have personally responsible for the deaths of of about 80 million people, (along with Tojo, Mussolini, Stalin, F.D.R., and Churchill; remember, it takes two to Tango), but he made a true nation-state of Germany for the first time in history, created the Autobahn, as well as the VW "Bug", made the trains run on time, and drew some nice drawings and painted some pretty pictures as well, to give the Devil his due.]
Why is it, that Man seems to be at his most productive and ingenious self, when he is at war with himself? It seems like over 99% of his inventions and other serendipitous “positive” outcomes happen during these times. It must be the adrenalin rush! The Cold War was no different.
Make no mistake, the “space race” was, and apparently still is, the ongoing result of military rocket science that has been advancing for millenia (If Mark Goddard or Werner von Braun were still alive and kicking, they could tell you). It has seen some limited, purely commercial, use though lately, I must admit. So far, that has consisted of a few “Fat Cats”, with nothing better to do with their money than to spend it on a space sight-seeing trip, extravaganza. I even hear, lately, that there might be Uranium on the moon. I think we should haul it all down immediately, so we can all save, at once, on energy costs. We won’t even need light bulbs afterward, because we’ll all glow in dark! Now, wouldn’t that be a pretty sight!
Wake up, people! Mankind has always looked for his gods, or messiahs, or other saviors to solve his problems for him, and always, they let him down whenever he has done so. It just doesn’t work that way. We’re on our own. God has given us everything we need right here, on this planet, to solve any immediate problems we face. We only need to make good use of it. If we don’t, we doom ourselves, just as much as any dinosaur was doomed. It may be tantalizing to some, but if we jump into space without solving our basic problems here on Earth first, we carry with us the seeds of our own ultimate demise.

As a young child I watched on black and white tv the alleged moon landing. Even at my young age I could see it was about as real as wrestling. They have had along time to create better tapes, it will be fun to see how much effort was put into such an old cover up.

So we have what is arguably the biggest event in human history and the video tapes of this event go missing for almost 40 years? That alone should be considered suspect. Maybe if the government was forthright and answered the questions we conspiracists have, where the official answers don’t create even more doubt, then maybe I wouldn’t have reason to be suspect of these events.

The DJ in your YT video asked, “Mr. Armstrong, come out of your shell.” Huh? What do you call all the public relations things he did after coming back from the Apollo 11 Moon landings. Traveling to foreign countries, talking about the Moon landing mission and appearing before the public like a modern day rock star. Maybe he got tired of it and is tired of the Hollywood type glitz, and wanted to get back to his other life, the one where he isn’t bothered by annoying obnoxious people wanting to ask him the same answered questions over and over and over. He isn’t exactly a hermit locked up in a cave, but he’s a private man and he should be respected for his wishes. Is that too much to ask from a man that risked his life multiple times in unselfish and diligent service to his country? I think not.
If you or someone else doesn’t believe we went, do you have to continue to badger a modest and humble man to death, just to prove your inability to think mankind capable of such a momentous feat? That’s the fact. You can’t understand how a bunch of very smart and ambitious people figured out how to do what was once considered impossible. You can’t wrap your heads around the ingenuity of the human species, the very one you are supposed to be part of. And because of that shortsightedness and lack of vision, when pictures of spacecraft are shown on the Moon in the near future, the deniers will call them fake, too! Count on it. So what’s the point to prove what’s been proven time and time again is my point. You can’t tell a religious person their God isn’t real. You can’t tell a moon hoax believer we put men on the Moon. You simply can’t no matter how much evidence you show and tell them.
Gene Cernan, in response to moon landing deniers, said in the wonderful documentary film, In The Shadow Of The Moon’ the following thoughtful words. “Truth needs no defense. No one can take those footprints I made on the surface of the moon away from me.” Indeed, sir, they will never deny you those moments in history. I think that’s his way of nicely asking these deniers to stop the insanity. To go home and find another thing to deny, like global warming, the holocaust, whatever they prefer to deny. Find another avenue to disbelieve what humankind has accomplished through the hard and dedicated work of people committed to making the impossible possible.
The astronauts like Neil Armstrong don’t have to retell the truth 10,000 times to satisfy the ineptitude of the moon hoax deniers. The astronauts who walked on the Moon lived it and were there. That’s enough for them. Moon hoax believers, time to get on with your lives. You’ve wasted enough of it as is.
I think the tapes will be found to have been digitally remastered and all controversial evidence will have disappeared. Kinda like swimsuit calendar models who get their flaws airbrushed out. I can’t foresee any major impact on the argument of whether UFOs were observing the moon landing or not. After all, what UFOlogist would trust the government? LOL
Also, have any of you ever heard a theory that the governments of several major countries (including USA)have “sold out” the human race for monetary gain? As in, cut off almost all funding for space exploration in exchange for tidbits of technology that can be sold to the public under various umbrella companies for massive profit. Such as Apple, Microsoft, Dell, etc. I just wondered if there were resources to back/debunk this theory and where I could find them.

As far as I understand NASA say that the original tapes have been erased and the ones that are going to air are remastered from other sources that are not the best and original quality. It is obvious that they are hiding something. You have to be realy really stupid to erased over those tapes, and not only one, but many. I heard also that were lost also the 5 Apollo missions. How convenient. Any blog where there are more of this kind of conversations?
