Charles Halt: Rendlesham Craft were Structured

Sunday July 12, 2009
One of the most researched cases in UFO history is the Rendlesham Forest Landing Case of 1980. A number of US military personnel witnessed UFOs, one even close enough to touch a landed craft, anomalous atmospheric conditions, and possibly even communication with beings that emerged from a landed craft.

One of the foremost witnesses of the event of late December, 1980 was Colonel Charles Halt, who along with a group of soldiers, took a trek into the forest to investigate the strange events. He made an audio recording of this venture, and later filed a report to the British Mod.

He has now come forward and stated that what he and other base members saw were "structured," and alien in origin.

“I believe the objects that I saw at close quarters were extraterrestrial in origin,” Halt proclaims. Halt's statement was touted as "sensational" by UFO investigator Nick Pope, who made the following statement.

Mr Pope said: “This may help us to finally solve Britain’s biggest UFO mystery. “It blows the MoD’s line that these events had ‘no defence significance’ out of the water.”

This is a very profound, to say the least. But, do you think his statement will have an impact on UFO study?

30 years after the fact he conveniently remembers this?
Yeah, right.
And I’m from Zeta Reticuli, myself.

It means little. We know what what these guys thinks they saw. These guys are great witness, but were they so hyped up that night that they were having mass hysteria? I don’t think so even though there have been good arguments to suggest that they might have mistaking common object for uncommon things (see skeptical arguement below). I think they did see something very unusual that was beyond the normal. Even the best sceptical arguements fail to convince me these well trained guys could lose it that badly for two nights in a row. My guess is the blinking object they saw might have been mimicking the flashing of the distant light house somehow perhaps trying to camouflage itself. I don’t see them trying to perpetrate a fraud either, they haven’t tried to capitalize on it though a book or movie. Being in high ranking positions at a nuclear airforce base (Halt was the commander), they had much to lose by this story.

Halt has always stood by his report of the events that occured in Rendlesham. He’s never denied that he witnessed UFOs that night, and has probably been pretty insulted by some of the ‘explanations’ put forward to explain what he and others witnessed (lighthouse, lol).

I’m not sure if he’s gone as far as to say that he believes that what he saw was E.T before though. But unlike Nick Pope, I don’t see how that’s going to ‘help us solve Britain’s biggest UFO mystery.’

Also, Jeff needs to do his homework.

Bye.

Some people like Jeff, just believe what they are told, and that’s the trouble with getting the facts about this and everything in the ” Good old U.S.A.”

I find it interesting that people are willing to quickly dismiss a persons exspanded comments. Think for a moment, miltary, I have served in the miltry myself and I was instructed not to make any comments on some of the activies that I was involved in. Now being many many years since. I an able to exspand some of my involves because of public knowledge or other reasons.

I was stationed at RAF Bentwaters from ‘75 to ‘76. Place was boring as hell. Wish I had seen UFOs.

I agree with Mikhal, joe, and zman. Also I thought james had the same kind of idea i have, in that a lot of folks are coming forward now that the 50 years is over. I thank God they are still alive to tell their stories. Think…Roswell. craft, people? we then took it apart to figure it out, given to certain scientists etc. we now have, night vision, microwave ovens, fiber optics, microchips all phased into society a little at a time. HELLO!!!
