Current UFO Sighting Reports

By , About.com GuideAugust 20, 2009

Follow me on:

This week we have reports from Nevada, Texas, Canada, and the United Kingdom. In Nevada, two witnesses see a white cylinder-shaped object. Our witness in Texas reports ongoing nightly sightings of UFOs.

A man and his wife camping near Perth, Ontario, report seeing a bright, oval-shaped object, and from the United Kingdom, we have a report of six, bright orange objects.

Check all of these out at UFO Sighting Reports, 08-23-09, and don't forget to keep your eyes on the skies.

hello bill, what do you think of that very compelling film footage recently shot over lake havasu in arizona?

if that’s a hoax my hat is definitely off to the perpetrator. that’s the best footage i’ve ever seen in my 57 years of studying the UFO phenomena.

I think perhaps you didn’t get my report in July of the cylinder-shaped object I saw flying over the Hobbs New Mexico Country Club. I never saw it posted. Looks like some Texans are seeing a similar thing.

about 2 or 3 summers ago, i was lying on my back on a dock after swimming in the ocean. i saw a transparent tube very high up just under some wispy white cirrus clouds. the tube was traveling from northwest toward the southeast. the tube was straight with somewhat tapered ends. the tube was traveling so that front and back were the longest sides, in other words, traveling not with the length aligned in same direction of travel, but traveling so that the horizontal length was perpendicular to the direction of travel. the transparent tube did not have any irregular motions, rather it moved very smoothly. i estimated that due to the height the tube could be 10 or 12 feet in diameter and maybe 50 feet long. no mechanical parts or irregularities in the surface of the cylinder. i looked away and blinked and looked back to make sure it was not imaginary, but the cylinder was definitely there. it passed just over me at altitude of perhaps 15,000 feet or less (estimate; may have been 7,000 feet), but was just under the high cirrus clouds. when the tube reached another clouded area, it suddenly just disappeared, it did not get obscured by the cloud but just winked out instantaneously. this is the only ufo i have seen other than a large green fireball in the early 1960s.

Hello from Albuquerque N.M. This cylinder was seen here in the city about a year ago. The funny thing was as i was seeing this thing a man right below it died. I know this for a fact because he died trying to break into a house and a strange gas leak in the house caused a explosion and killed him. I am seven flights up so I had a very good view of the whole scene as it played out, saw the explosion and everything. Pretty frightening that the ufo and the mans death happened at the same time. And what a odd way to die! Gas explosion!? Anyway thought I would share a little something …

I am giving up on this UFO crap! It just dawned on me that if UFOs come from other intelligent life forms then these beings would have made it obvious for us to know of their existence.

I know that it could be argued that they won’t do it because we would just attack them and disect them, etc. But, I won’t waste my time believing this crap anymore until there is tangible proof.

All I can say is there is something unfamiliar in the skies because I have seen strange things myself. However, I am no longer going to wreck my brain trying to figure out what it is.

Akroyd:

We are all free agents here. Who am I to tell Wendy to stay or go or you to tell what to say to Wendy? If she has reached some kind of satisfactory conclusion for herself and feels the need to back off from the subject, I say more power to her. To do otherwise, in my opinion would be no less than cruel. If she goes, she may pick up the subject again at some later date if and when she feels the need or desire to do so. Nothing in life is ever written in stone, my friend. N’Cest Paz?
