Recently, I was contacted by Lawrence Gessner, who was Sheriff of Sheridan County, North Dakota, in 2003. He told me of a UFO sighting he and his wife had that year.
He made an official report, and forwarded me copies of them. Because he was soon to testify in court about some drug busts he had made, he was told to not discuss his case. The defense attorney would use his report to discredit him as a "loon."

This is an excellent report. It only goes to show how a lot of reports are cut off by different officials.
While we are on the subject of reports by police officers, how are the readers reacting to the news that the famous 1964-UFO Landing at Socorro, New Mexico case was, in fact, an elaborate hoax?
This is one of the most famous case in Ufology and I am stunned that so many UFO sites (including this one) are either oblivious to the news or have decided to ignoore it hoping (presumably) that it’ll go away….
Just reporting that me and my roommate witness a UFO last night. Station in Baghdad Iraq around 9:30 PM nothing much just a metallic Orb shape object seem to glide effortlessly through the air no sound no noise and could tell it was metallic it was reflecting the moon light and seem to be like a bluer orb. Strange but exciting.

I recently read an article on the 1964 Landing. Disappointing, but it’s something I have come to expect in relation to this sort of thing.

This story suggests extraordinary intelligence / awareness / possisble clarvoyance of the “visitors” in that there is a multiple correlation between the observer (Sheriff), location of the craft (over Deputy’s house), and timing of its ascent (after the Sheriff called his Deputy but moments before the Deputy could observe the craft), or coincidence (what is the probability of a chance occurance like this?). Wow! Way too cool!
interesting, one would certainly think that an officer of the law would not fabricate a story. the timing of the sequences in this event are rare indeed i think, but this is very interesting. makes one wonder doesn’t it.

An author… who lives off the grid an no one really knows who he is. His first book was called The Traveler, but all 3 books are about “the traveler”.
I am very much aware of the latest attempt to debunk the Socorro case. First, it was a government craft, that was about 5 or 6 years ago. Now, we have a prank. What I read did not convince me, as the author stated that the so-called participants will not reveal themselves.
So, I am still awaiting evidence that the case was a hoax.

Maybe someone here can explain….IF, there is this big government cover up/conspiracy suppressing UFO’S, why? I worked for a US Government law enforcement agency for 30 years, and never heard of a conspiracy. With the technology we have today, ultra fast media, satellites that can see a fly on garbage, ultra radar systems, infra red systems, stealth technology and stealth detecting technology, incredible still and moving cameras, telescopes, etc….why is there no proof?
I know for a fact our government isn’t sophisticated enough to keep something like that secret since the forties. Someone would eventually spill the beans with indisputable proof. And, I believe in UFO’S…hmmmm…

Nobody knows what the whole gamut of reactions by the general public would be in the face of the Government sanctioning the idea that Alien visitations are, or even might be, a reality.

Lastly, I suspect that if a government is sufficiently determined to keep something a secret then it is capable of doing so. I have heard it said that it is surprising how effectively some government secrets are kept.

This sounds like a good report. But I think someone needs to check the validity of Lawrence Gessner as Sheriff of Sheridan County, North Dakota. I just think you need to verify this by a little research. If true it’s a good report from someone who probably is a reliable top notch witness. I don’t think you could rule out experiental US aircraft, but it sounds like a super aircraft no matter what it is. I don’t think we have aircraft that can move straight up like that at a high rate of speed. I like the reports by the high quality observers. There’s too many reports by questionable people out there who are very qullible or who have motives for lying.
Well Scott, I did a little research and found that a Lawrence Gessner was sheriff of Sheridan County, ND in 2003. I can only assume this is the same guy since it would be a pretty obscure name and location to throw out if it wasn’t. The story itself is interesting and assuming the guy is the real Gessner it’s also compelling.
