The Fourth Kind - Based on Real Events?

Monday October 26, 2009

If you are a movie goer, and a UFO fan, you might be interested in checking out the "Fourth Kind." Supposedly the film is based on real life events in and around Nome, Alaska. These events include unexplained deaths and disappearances going back several decades.

The real event cases come from a psychologist who claims to have "the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented." Rumors have persisted for so long about the high number of deaths and disappearances around Nome that the FBI began researching them. Their findings were not so "other-worldly."

Local officials, however, are not so quick to dismiss the mysteries surrounding these cases. If any of you see the show, let us know what you think about it?

It comes out on the sixth of November, and I am going to give it a try. I’ll make a comment after I see it.

(2) PhilB says:

The movie only scratches the surface of a much bigger conspiracy by our “protective” government. 1) alien abductions were approved by the government at 10% but more are being taken. 2) There is a secret space program which has been traveling to the other planets for years and in contact with alien civilizations. 3) The cover-up has gone too far and the government now wants to find a way to piecemeal the truth without causing world panic. Shows like Stargate are not far from the truth. Search “John Lear” articles to learn what has been going on for years. There are alien bases on the moon. Mars has 660 million aliens living mostly underground.

(3) Larry Gessner says:

Just a thought. I am wondering how they would have gotten around the Dr. Patient confidentiality issue. Unless names, places were changed to protect the patients. That could be a reason why no one in Nome knows anything about this. I could be totally wrong about this, but my gut tells me that the events are real but happened somewhere else.

billy,

yes, i have had first hand experiences such as this…

yes, i do believe the govt. is involved…

yes, this is what is known as MILAB…

yes, ONLY THE NAME OF JESUS can stop these experiences…

i can tell you from my own experience-

it is a well-established fact that the US govt. is involved in satanic ritual abuse and mind control…

the MILAB experience is merely an offshoot of those experiments…

(7) cGREGgo says:

I believe in life on other planets, not in our 9 planet solar system (other than a worm or two), but there is intelligent life out there somewhere. The universe is too large for there not to be. I even believe we’ve been visited. I know were getting close to finding it & we’ll hit the jackpot sometime in the next 5-10 years hopefully.

But the things you guys are saying… GEEZ! Do you really believe this stuff? Come on guys, get real… if there’s life intelligent enough to get here, what in the world would they want to abduct us for? There is NOTHING they could possibly learn from us that they don’t already know. After all, they’re smart enough to get here, right? So there far more advanced than we are.

I’m a conspiracy theorist, but there’s a limit to the things we must believe in before it starts getting “stupid”.

Look at the things you’re saying…

“Alien abductions were approved by the government at 10% but more are being taken”

If that were true, the population of the US is 304,059,724 (june of 98) which would mean over 30 million people have been abducted. If that many people were missing, don’t you think it would make the headlines? The only thing the headlines say about UFO’s is some goofy couple claiming their kid was taken away in a UFO balloon.

“There is a secret space program which has been traveling to the other planets for years and in contact with alien civilizations”

WHAT! You can’t seriously believe that can you? If we were secretly traveling to other planets, don’t you think people in Florida would see the space shuttle taking off? The most we’ve gone to other planets are the rovers we put on mars, and some satellites we send out into the unknown to take pictures. Maybe orbit a planet or two.

“There are alien bases on the moon”

Uhhh, don’t you think we’d seem them with telescopes if there were?

Hey, if you want to believe that, fine… it’s a free country. But I have to see it to believe it…

(8) SUZIE says:

Why do you think the Cabal bombed the moon recently? to check for water, get real they were aiming at a base in the crator. They missed due to intervention that’s why the pics of the bombing weren’t shown till days later after they could photo shop them and why people on earth saw nothing with their telescopes.

(11) lady d says:

Hey Greg, do you have to see God to believe in Him??? The fact that this has remained a “secret” for over 50 years tells me the government is being told what to say and do by “others”. I believe the grays and humans are working side by side at area 51 and we got told to shut up. Did you ever consider where microwave ovens, night vision, fiber optics, computer chips, etc come from? I say they reverse enginered a flying saucer. Or, do you really think someone made this computer in their garage??

October 27, 2009 at 4:36 pm
(12) cGREGgo says:

Hiya… Hey, I said I was a conspiracy theorist type! But I don’t get carried away with what “I want to believe” to be true.

Fiber optics, yes…
The rest… questionable…

As far as computers in the garage… that’s exactly how the first apples came out, Steve Jobs built them in his family garage withought the help of the grays!

http://www.digibarn.com/history/06-11-4-VCF9-Apple30/index.html

Now… all the rest of that stuff…

Uhhh, NO, I don’t ever recall seeing 30 million people in the Amber Alert…

And NO, I don’t recall seeing an unknown type spacecraft taking off from the kennedy space center that can make it to another planet. We don’t have anything like that. Our shuttles can’t even make it to the moon.

:)

October 27, 2009 at 5:04 pm
(13) cGREGgo says:

And about the movie…

If I knew I was going to get paid millions of dollars to do it, I could conjure up some evidence that makes it look like the budweiser frogs kidnapped my cat. Complete with photos & everything! Then I’d laugh all the way to the bank like these guys are doing.

It’s people like this that make the entire subject a “tabloid” subject instead of an actual news worthy subject. (IMO)

(14) Suzie says:

It seems the Cabal really don’t have to work very hard in hiding what is really going on concerning Star Visitors. With people like the ones who respond on this site with negative or assinine comments around, “they” never have to worry about the truth being released. No one would believe it anyway, with photo shop, and FX technology who can tell a fake ship/being/etc from a computer generated one? IF it is too fuzzy people complain that they can’t see a good enough photo to make a decision if it is real and if it is clear as a bell people say it is photoshopped.

Maybe it’s good there are ignorant people around, it keeps the Star Visitors safe from harm because we are a people who shot first, disect second and then say ooops, maybe they were friendly.

(15) Yfoog says:

The one thing that cGREG isn’t taking into consideration (that generally gets a person labelled crazy if they talk about it) is that “abducted” doesn’t mean they weren’t returned. Besides…if “they” are smart enough to get here and not be blatently observed, don’t you think they could make a person not recall being abducted? I suppose cattle mutilations really ARE just some strange bacteria that just affect and consume certain parts of the animal, huh. That’s why other animals won’t go near the carcasses (interesting thing to research if you’ve never heard about it). I realize that is a topic jump, but I believe it is related. Don’t we do the same things to other creatures right here on OUR planet? Why wouldn’t another species do it to our animals and to US? All in the name of Science and knowledge.

October 28, 2009 at 7:45 pm
(16) cGREGgo says:

Cattle mutilations – Now there’s a topic I’d like to see get solved!

I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s caused by “the grays”.

I told you I was a conspiracy theorist, hehe…

I got to see The Fourth Kind through a special preview last week. Very good. And yes names were changed to protect. It really makes you think: real alien abduction? Or Demonic possesions? I left the theater wanting to know more about Nome, Alaska and the missing people.

October 29, 2009 at 3:35 am
(21) Dick Hertz says:

Nome is a tundra community with no trees and no mountains or hills to speak of. Polar bears still wander through town. People fall through the ice and freeze to death, and since it is the only “wet” town for miles and a huge hub for shopping and travel, people come here and maybe drink too much and make poor decisions or are preyed upon by bad elements in the community. People can disappear for years to be found by accident decades later, if at all.

Reality is a tragedy far worse than the paranoid rambles of mildly delusional lower 48ers.

October 29, 2009 at 8:11 am
(22) Ross says:

Yfoog is right. Why do people believe that a different intelligent species isn’t going to do the exact thing we humans do to everything we discover. We take it out of its enviroment, we cut it up, observe its parts and label it and preserve it. If people are abducted at least they are return (most often?). The part I find so annoying is when people say, if they are so intelligent, why don’t they simply drop on the white house lawn? Even if they are more adavnced in technology, it doesn’t mean they have the answer to everything! How would they know one building from another unless they spent some quality studing us. And stop calling eachother names, this is an imporant forum that should not need that type of name calling behavior.

(23) Josh says:

Yeah, okay PhilB. let me guess… You are probably from some back country somewhere who thinks he knows about every government conspiracy out there. GIVE UP THE EFFIN ALIEN CONSPIRACIES. they are not real! god!

(24) cGREGgo says:

Hummm… I would love it if they came & got me… :)

IF AND ONLY IF

1- They let me bring my beer, I’d get them all drunk.

2- Their experiments must be painless & not perverted.

3- They brought me back.

4- They didn’t zap my memory with their MIB memory eraser gadget (HA!). I’d like to remember the experience.

(25) Roosie says:

you’re entitled to believe whatever you like, but i bet you’re in the minority josh.
most people believe that there is life outside our planet – and most of those people are open to the idea that it may be visiting us and that world governments know more than they are saying.
i wouldn’t go as far as PhilB with out some more proof, so i’m with you there, but the basic fact remains.
i think movies like the fourth kind (and the recent show “i know what i saw”) will help open people’s eyes on the subject.

I personally think this makes for good horror flick but probably a bunch of hogwash. Let me see if I get this right, you live in an area known for snowstorms in which you can’t see two feet in front of you, and wild bears wander down city streets, and yet ppl mysteriously disappear? Imagine that. If if any of this is true, all I have to say is we better get the Enterprise built in a hurry and start recruiting for Starfleet!

November 6, 2009 at 11:47 pm
(27) Darryl says:

Aliens do exist. There is so much evidence to prove it to. For example, the ancient batteries, lights, and calendars that were discovered. And theres no way in hell some guy invented the computer in his garage. Honestly we have never even been to the moon. Theres absolutely no way we went to the moon in the 1960’s, we didnt even had digital watches in the 60’s, the technology just wasn’t there. No wonder they recently missed hitting the moon with a missle several times. If we can’t invent a small missle to hit the moon on the first try, how did we build a shuttle and touch down on the moon in the 60’s? The government has and will always be able to convince you to believe whatever they want. So believe what you want, but aliens do exist and I believe we’re all going to find out in 2012.

Well I read several reviews, they all trashed the film. I saw the movie and then read the reviews, I can’t say I agree with any of them. I am not a ufo crazie. It just sounded interesting. The movie was not trashy as some state. It apparently had the audience enthralled. It was real enough that I decided to see if their was any truth to the Nome sitings and the FBI investigations. I went to college, I am educated, I personally liked the movie, and from what I could see so did all of the audience who apparently seemed to from theworking class here in Yakima Wa- what can I say- I
enjoyed the film, the gal next to me jumped several times, it was what I would call a phycho thriller.

(30) AJ says:

The movie is crap. If you’re scared by it, you need to get out more. I saw it with my girlfriend and felt time could had been better spent sitting in the parking lot telling ghost stories. By the way, in case you didn’t know, it’s a hoax.

How can people be so close minded..when the fact is that Space is so incredibly large..that we cant even fathom how large it really is..and in all of that “space”, out of all the uncountable amount of Galaxies, with Solar Systems of their own..we were the lucky ones to have life only on ours.. its just pure ignorance to think like that…those that dont believe are probably religious..in that case, the thought of life on other planets goes against everything they were brainwashed to believe..We like to think that “we” as a human race actually know something about anything..when the reality is, we know nothing..in the grand scale of time itself…the human race has not even been here for a blink of an eye, or even a fraction of that…and we claim to be almighty…but what if…what if..there are species that developed far before our time…now think how far our technology has come..for the small amount of time weve been in existence…now think of how much can be accomplished if we had millions of years or even more to perfect our craft of science…this is most likely where these “other species” are at…now if we were them…and we came across a primitive species..that we knew nothing about what would we do?…most likely start taking samples and dissecting..to see how they tick..and to see how they differ or how they are alike to our own anatomy…now if we did this, we wouldnt want to compromise our being there, by just barging in…no, we would do this as discretely as possible…to prevent alarming the masses..that would just make it harder to go about our work…they may be advanced in tech but they also arent stupid..now if the government knew anything about this..do you think they actually tell us..”the general public”?…of coarse not!..because if they did it would cause a world wide panic…its not healthy to believe everything the government tell us to believe…because after all they were built on lies upon lies…because those who hold information and technology hold power…if everyone knew what they know…they wouldnt have any power….why do think religion was created?…to control the masses, and to keep them acting accordingly…Aliens are far more believable than any god..plus it just makes more sense that there would be Aliens..not to mention thats theres more proof about there being aliens..then there is or will ever be about all of your gods combined…have you ever thought that gods and aliens are one in the same?…A greater entity, with knowledge and power far beyond our own?..i can go on and on about this…and how ridiculous peoples ignorance can be…nows the time to face facts and start believing in Science..because its the only real truth we can really rely on…because science is only truth…it either is or it isnt…and whatever is in between..will eventually be answered in due time.. Watch “Ancient Aliens”… i think it will definitely change your perspective of the unexplainable…or even “UFO’s in the Bible”…these shows are very interesting, and worth a look…you can prolly find them on youtube…we should really be searching for our own answers instead of being “brainwashed” by religion and government…but i guess ill leave it at that..im pretty sure ive ranted far too long on this..lol..all im asking is keep an open mind..lol..cause closed minds dont get fed?..lol i dunno..food for thought.

I saw the movie and it is highly entertaining. I know the Bible indicates that there are other worlds with other inhabitants. I don’t think the Government would want us to know the truth if there were such visitations to our planet, it surely would cause world wide panic. In reality, think about this, what if our Government was visiting a planet with a lower inteligence. Do you think we would be thoughtful and kind. I think maybe it would be more like, dissect and discover. I don’t see our cicvilized world being to sentimental over other beings feelings…. All good terror is based on some kind of fact.

don’t care if it’s real or not – it was one of the scariest movies i’ve seen in a long time. i’m a believer so the movie really hit home with me, but i was with someone who’s not a believer, and she felt the same way: straight up scary alien movie no matter what you think of the phenomenon.

I ahve a quick commet regarding this movie about Encounter Of the fourth Kind after investigating some30 years i can realy say this story is fact and if you have nothing better to do You can check out Churchil manitob and you will descover it took place there were almost 100 people vanished and all there things and dogs were left so get a gripe they are here and will continue to come untill we take controle of the planet and clean it up.

The movie was a farce! I know enough of what takes place to know deep demonic voices are not part of it. I also question the films blurriness every time something happens. If the director of this picture was tampering with what he/she considered evidence, that person should be discredited as a director. It is one thing to say you are using your creative talents and it is another to say everything is real! I say to the director, grow up! Keep your day job and if this is your day job, heaven help is all!

(FOURTH KIND SPOILER) I believe we have been to the moon, i dont believe that there are secret alien bases there. But for those of us who have seen the fourth kind, didnt their voices seem all too familiar? And didnt something click when the father alien claims to be god? honestly i saw the video of the ufo that flys over the tyler residence and the video where they all get abducted at the end in the room. but now no matter where i look i cannot find these videos. so i do believe the government is covering up some aspect of this movie which scares me. their faces in the movie were so… hopeless. i think thats why they feared what was coming, because what the “neighbors” do to them. they torture them and reveal the most hopeless statement you could possibly hear. i am…GOD.

The people of this nation run it. You think we would allow these secrets to be kept? When there is TRUTH, it always prevails and reveals itseld. Well seeing as you say its been 50 years seems like the clock is-a-tickin. Do yourself a favor get a psychologist….preferrable not in Nome.

(42) Matt says:

well….ive seen the film…ive read your comments…and all i can say is you lot are seriously screwed up! I pity your families! That film was designed to create ‘mass hysteria’ and it clearly has. Stop arguing over the government this the government that…unless your on your way to becoming some government official the chances are in your lifetime you will never know! There is no definate answer as to whether anything exists…whether we landed on the moon blah blah blah so quit saying yes and no based on your opinions and based on what you want to believe. What i do find interesting (having studied psychology at degree level) and a masters in hypnosis myself is that the film is largely centred around hypnosis…yet to date there is no proof / evidence that hypnosis is accurate and reliable, there are no efficacy studies or validating studies that exist, Even if the film is based on ‘true’ events, on those grounds it is flawed from the outset. People ‘conjour’ up stories to meet the needs or to construct some sort of explanation as to why something happeed (a coping mechanism) and it is proven that it usually results in irational thoughts!
So pick your brains all you want, go read some more google pages and yahoo citations but unless you can post circumstantial evience, that is valid and reliable in these circumstances no one here or anywhere else for that matter can say yes it exists because that would simply be …irational. You are all simply looking for an answer to something that is a mystery and fitting it the way you would want it to be fitted. Possibly because its exciting?! You might wanna check your sources for any of this ‘information’ you post regarding the subject, alot of information such as what ive read here are posted by what ‘institutions’ call ‘evidence’ what you fail to realise that these institutions are funded to pushthese subjectswith no hard evidence to broaden scopes of thinking. Kind of like psi and esp in the field of transpersonal psychology, take a read and youll see what i mean!
Happy hunting
