Professor Ana Luisa Cid, a well respected Mexican ufologist, whom I know and have interviewed, is reporting the sighting of a UFO over Xochimilco on January 18.
Aviation technician Alfonso Salazar reported the incident in which an Airbus-A320 flew close to a UFO as the plane ascended to a cruising altitude. The unknown object was spherical-shaped, and metallic in appearance. The plane and UFO came as close as 200 meters.
Here is question that I often ponder: How many of these incidents occur that are never reported? What do you think?

Billy, to answer your question I’d have to guess. I’ll place a bet that there are more unreported incidents than reported ones.

I left a little bit of info on your Forum side, regarding a Boeing 747 and a local Pilot.
Our local program called Carte Blanch had a TV Discussion about this incident. It happened in the 80’s near Port Elizabeth.
I think these visual observations by well known people are true and to the point. Problem is, these events are placed in cannot explain sections of information.
Its always better not to talk about what you do not know !

I forgot, to tell you about the 1986 shoot down of a UFO by the then Apartheid Air Force. I t was shot down near Mafikeng, in the Northern Cape, by a local Pilot useing the new weapons sighting system.
The UFO parts were picked up and moved to Cape Town International Airport, where it was removed by A C5 usa plane, never to be seen again..
I noticed the plane during a flight from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town, and wondered, how it was possible for the USA to be in South Africa, due to the political situation of those days.
I put two and two together only after I read a article regarding the UFO .
The US picked up the UFO under the terms of the UN agreement on handling downed or captured alien craft or beings. No need to speculate where it went after that.
Is there any photos or videos of the UFO?
if i ever have the opportunity i would make sure of physical proof before they took it to disappear, just save a couple items from the crash and hide them yourself to give to people who would present them to the public. oh well nobody would believe it anyway, just another hoax or something in that category.

Yeah, I think such situations go on all the time, and we just never hear about them. One has to be on the web or looking at out of range media sources to hear about this stuff. The only others talking about all this is Coast to Coast a.m. It’s on late at night, so getting information out is hard for sure! You know our media, they would rather talk about Tiger Woods or the latest issue with who’s wearing what outfit to whatever awards show’s going to be covered next. There’s a media black-out on anything that’s considered real news. If it were considered real news, then we’d have our proof once and for all, now wouldn’t we?
There is a natural explaination for everything that you wackos believe are ufos.
We are the only intelligent life form in the universe. Don’t believe all the ufo hype. Get the truth; find knowledge instead and leave the hype alone.

I am sure that First Contact has probably already been established but covered up. The powers that be would stop at nothing to keep that under raps because they know that if that info got out Government as we know it would become irrelivent. That is my two cents worth.

With an estimated 70 thousand million million million (70 sextillion) stars in the known universe – and the fact that we now know that planet formation is a common by-product of star formation, to say that we are the only intelligent life form in the universe is surely the height of ignorance.
Add to this the fact that amino acids – which form the building blocks of life here on Earth – have been found in both meteorites – and now in a comet (stardust probe mission, NASA, 2009), the likleyhood is that life too, is a natural by-product of the processes existing in the universe.
Although life may be relatively common throughout the universe, I believe that intelligent sentient life probably only accounts for a small fraction of 1% of the total life forms that exist, given the required planetary conditions and other factors.
Even so, there could still be millions of intelligent sentient life forms out there and it is inevitable that some of them will be, technologically speaking, far more advanced than we are.

Wendy, thinking we are the only beings in the universe is absurded. The UFO in question shot down by the South Africans was in 89′ and taken to Wright Air-Force base USA. I hardly think Wendy, that all the pictures and photos seen today are fake. It has nothing to do with religion. Read the ancient sumerian texts. See how advanced they were. Look the next wave of enemy after the extremists and the third world cuntries like Iran and N. korea is going to be Alien. I guess only time will tell.
Have we moved on to discussing evidence of UFO’s landing on Earth? I thought we are still arguing the existence of one Supreme Being! Once that is established then can we define ourselves as intelligent?
It’s a bit arrogant on our part to claim to be the ONLY intelligent life form universally or has that rating system been lowered. Why do we wrap in a coccoon of understanding comfort that which we fear? Why…like we are NOT alone? You question a space traveller’s intelligence as if you KNOW there’re better selections out there!
