We got the news recently that the British Mod will discontinue taking UFO reports. The United States has no "official" government agency that takes reports. All of the record keeping is done by private groups scattered around the country.
UFO reports made by people just like you and me are the cornerstone of UFO investigation. Without them, we have no starting point. What would you do if you saw a UFO? Where would you go to report what you saw? See our new section above to get started.

With out a doubt i would say report it to Mufon or if your in my home country, Australia, Then Bill Chalker is some one worth contacting
Other than the authorities or media, I don’t think most people would know where to report a UFO.
Billy,
As you could attest to, I think that UFO’s get “reported” mostly to the Internet (wherever, in whatever format, including (or omitting) whatever information). It is kind of fascinating that the net is such a repository for sighting reports (or images, or video, etc.) since it is so accessible for so many, language is not necessarily a barrier, and while most reports online can be explained there are a small minority of witness accounts that are interesting (if not compelling) reports.
For these reasons, the net offers anyone with access to the net with the opportunity to take a look, for themselves; it unites those of us intrigued by (or those who have made) the reports; it provides a venue for a ‘discussion’; and frankly it reflects how many people, the world over, today, think that UFO’s are worthy of consideration (if only while surfing the net). There are a lot of websites dedicated to the topic of UFO’s and a lot of people who visit them.
To your point, Billy, I think too that a standardized reporting system, that a majority of witnesses the world over report to, (such as Mufon’s witness interview); and a follow up investigation for sightings that can not be easily explained (also in a standardized format), which Mufon does, too; benefits those interested in gathering facts where facts are to be found. In other words, the more guided/standardized, uniform, informative, unbiased, scientific the witness interview process that formulates sighting reports: the better for a consistency and the scope of information reported.
The admin of another popular UFO accounts site often shares what businesses own of the IP addresses of some of the IP addresses visiting his site. The list includes (which, yes, they can be faked) visitors from the likes of Boeing, Lockheed Martin, JPL, NASA, the U.S. Airforce, Northrop Grumman, D.O.D., etc. Even if only a minority of these types of IP addresses are accurate – these net surfers work in very interesting technological organizations.
Yet, nothing is perfect. If people only post their videos, for instance, to You Tube: it’s at least sharing their experiences, at all. Remember when there was no net and we heard witness accounts through the occasional T.V. show, maybe a magazine or a book, etc.? We’re a little further ahead, now.
of course the government isnt intrested in looking for a ufo, they know something we dont.. hmmfp
Billy,
haven’t you forgotten about Bigelow
Multinational Corporation?
The one that jaques vallè currently sits on their
board of directors?
(he has been assimilated)
in fact, it has been suggested that all of the
deepest, darkest UFO related secrets have
been outsourced to the private sector,
and give compartmentalization, global corporate style…
If you want your info, that’s where you should
Look, not some broken Dow MOD office
