UFO Sightings

By , About.com Guide   September 9, 2010

Follow me on:

This week let's take a look at some recent sighting reports from the state of Michigan. Our first report is from a witness who saw fireball-shaped objects in the sky, and later military vehicles and a helicopter heading to the area of the objects. Our second report comes from a fisherman on Lake Fenton, whose son pointed out to him a yellow, oval, unknown object in the sky.

Next, we have a report from a man who saw a light just hanging in the sky. After a couple of minutes, it fell like a leaf toward the ground. Finally, we have a report from several witnesses, who through binoculars and telescope, watched a strange colored object in the sky.

See all of the details of these reports at UFO Sighting Reports, 08-09-10, and don't forget to keep your eyes on the skies.

I guess Mufon wants details but sometimes when you read the reports the people tend to ramble and their reports are quite comical.

Suzie; Yes, some of MUFON’s reports are quite comical, to say the least. While others read like the incoherent ramblings of someone eating those “Good-time Brownies!” You just have to take the good with the bad, or vice versa. To me, if the individual elaborates excessively, then I tend to disregard the report, that’s just me! I believe in the “KISS” philosophy- Keep It Simple Stupid!

I agree with High Gravity 100%. I read the Mufon reports every nite religiously. I swear that some of these reports must come from people who are taking a “Creative Writing” course and use the UFO phenomenon as their venue to hone their skills.

I found the reports rather good this week. More descriptive with constructive details that reflect more accurately what the observes must have seen. The reports seem to be submitted by witnesses quite capable of describing the objects they saw, which leads to credibility of the sightings. No one has suggested what the objects were or might have been. However, they are quite emphatic that what passed by were not airplanes or helicopters. All in all, I found this quite interesting and in fact reflect sightings similar to some I have witnessed myself in skies of northern Quebec over a period of years.

I found the first report to be the best because it wasnt creative writing homework. I wonder what wouldve happened if the kid didnt “book”, would he have seen a strange looking creature?

Attention Joe – Well, you made me look again. I agree. It is a good report as I have already stated in my comment above. Much better and far more interesting than many I have found myself wasting time reading (generally, just in case I would miss something significant).
I don’t know what the term “book” means. in this particular instance. I understand “book” in terms of reserving or registering, but I don’t quite follow the meaning here.
Willie.
