From the city of Marcos Quito, Ecuador, comes a video of a strange, glowing object. The man who took the footage sent me some information on what he saw.
The object hovered over the city for some three hours, and slowly moved from the central part of the city to the southern rim.
It occasionally flashed, and eventually disappeared from view. At first glance, this looks like it could be a Chinese Lantern, but after watching it a couple of times, I am not so sure.

I notice the object shines light onto the clouds around it. That’s really interesting. I’ve haven’t seen an object cast enough light to light up clouds like that before. Airplanes and stuff don’t do that. If it was a Chinese Lantern it would have to be a really big one to do that, I would think. It does sort of pulse a bit like a candle would flicker but 3 hours would be a long time, especially if the amount of light was consistent throughout. Our neighbor did some Chinese Lanterns at the end of his very intense fireworks event on the 4th here, and they moved quite a bit faster (even with hardly any breeze here) than that object was moving, too. And they did not go anywhere near that high. But maybe a really big one… I don’t know.
Looks like a helicopter disapearing into the clouds.
Helicopters have very strong running lights if viewed from the right perspective.
Nothing UFOish about this vid…..
I noticed yesterday that the thing lit up the clouds around it and today I also noticed that the clouds are causing it to appear to flicker and actually may obscure the object. What ever it is it is bigger than I first thought.
I think it could have been a satelite or something that goes around the earth. I don’t think it was a E. T. But you never really know, do you.
I think typical reports of ufo’s at nite have them moving in some pattern (e.g. directed) and/or hovering in a stationery position and then leaving at astonishing speeds , either horizontally or vertically.
I also find it amazing that in similar reports (read Phoenix) of “hovering” or slowing moving lights that there is no one that can train a telescope on said objects, or a helicopter can’t fly in for a closer look. These “objects” seem to be visible for a considerable length of time.
Chinese lantern, maybe they should change the color of these things so everyone quits freaking out every time some one sends one off
Whatever it may be, Eucador will soon face some natural disasters if such sightings continue. As we have seen many disasters come after sighting of UFOs. It may be a warning to the world that natural disaster may happen to the country where the UFO sightings are often seen.
