BBC News Crew Arrested at Area 51

By , About.com GuideOctober 15, 2012

Follow me on:

It has just become public knowledge that in May of this year, a BBC film crew was arrested attempting to get into Area 51.

The documentary, "UFO: Conspiracy Road Trip," begins airing on October 15. The crew was forced to lie on the ground for three hours while their credentials were verified, according to sources.

Their wallets, phones, IDs and film equipment were confiscated. After their IDs were checked they were taken to the local sheriff's office. They were given tickets and fined.

It is said that one of the guards gave this warning: "Listen, son, we could make you disappear and your body would never be found."

The group got a little too enthusiastic and the guards words were not very well chosen.

That stuff is off limits for a reason. It’s called national security. Turns out every self-righteous halfwit with media credentials DOES NOT have the right to go there.

They ought to count themselves lucky.

Unfortunately, in my lifetime I will probably never know what is really there. Is it just national security type things, or that plus ufo type things that we can only wonder about?

With this country being on alert for terrorists, did a foreign media crew really believe that just because they carry media credentials that they would be given free passes to a highly secure military research facility? There are signs all around that say trespassers will be met with deadly force. They are lucky to have met the sheriff, they could be sitting in Gitmo right now.

There are signs everywhere around Area 51 warning would-be snoopers against trespassing, and advising that use of deadly force is authorized. Set one foot past one of those warning signs and the “investigator” is subject to being shot on sight without further ado.

They’re lucky they only got a dose of humiliation and a warning.

I’ve been to the sign post outside Area 51 for a television shoot a few years ago. The moment one approaches the sign guys in pickup trucks come over the hill and make themselves known. Antennas for sound hear everything. Cameras in the brush track your every move. Crossing past the sign breaks the law and the unmarked authorities kick into action, as you reported above. I heard a similar story just a week before my team headed out there and the same exact process unfolded, with the confiscation of a 30K broadcast camera! This is a very serious line to cross. Making it part of one’s shoot is not wise!

The former TV series, UFO Hunter, once ventured to the gates of Area 51. Even though they stayed outside the fence and gates, they were still warned to stay away as the feds claimed to have the area just outside the fenced off area. So where did they go? They had to climb up on a mountain ridge 20 miles to the east of there and film with some powerful cameras for them to see what this place looks like. And it was broadcast on TV. Interesting but the really juicy stuff still lies inside all those buildings.

Now, it’s been reported that since so many people know about this place, there’s been too many snooping around that shouldn’t be. So some of their operations have been relocated to the Dugway Proving Grounds in the Great Salt Lake Desert of Utah. That’s a huge area with many more places to hide. All they have to do it dig inside one or more mountanins and no more snooping.

If they are continuing to use taxpayers money to fund their operation, we should have the right to be told what they are doing.

“Are we alone in the universe or have we been visited by aliens? If the answer to the last question is yes, have the world’s governments been covering up this incredible ‘truth’?

Comedian Andrew Maxwell is a logical guy and he is going to tackle these big questions on an American road trip from Los Angeles to Area 51. He is taking five UFO believers who claim to have witnessed spacecraft from other galaxies, been attacked by UFOs, had close encounters with ETs and believe an alien attack is imminent for a close encounter of the rational kind. Andrew takes them to meet experts, eyewitnesses and journalists to see if he can dispel the myths around UFO sightings”

This was the “blurb” that the BBC on its web site out to advertise this programme. I watched the programme and it was clear “from the off” that Andrew Maxwell did not believe in UFOs and that he was absolutely determined…through the use of so called “experts” like Michael Scharmer….to debunk the whole thing and to poke fun at the UFO believers on the road trip across the good old USA,

Boy did that backfire when they all got busted….cos it actually reinforced everything the believers said in the programme.i.e. that the USA was involved in a massive cover-up about the nature and reality of UFOs. Brilliant !!!!

For what it’s worth, I think the USA is involved in covering and deliberately suppressing news about the nature & reality of UFOs… but it’s not because it knows so much about them. It’s because it knows so little about them and it simply cannot admit…publicly…that UFOs (of UNKNOWN ORIGIN) can operate in US air space with impunity. Are UFOs real ? Of course they are. Are they extra-terrestrial in origin? Possibly but not necessarily. IT’s better to have an open mind than a closed one.

Have a nice day people. .
