UFOs; Science & Flying Saucers
Monday April 10, 2006
To be able to effectively study the UFO phenomena, one needs to be a jack of all trades, in a manner of speaking. It is almost essential to have a little knowledge of science, atmospheric phenomena, weather, geography, cameras and photographic techniques, photo and video editing software, and most importantly how to read people, among many others. The last requirement is difficult to master at times when most of your exposure to UFO reports comes from Email via the computer. What you get with most folks who study UFOs is a jack of all trades, master of none. Now; just what would you need to know to complete a college degree in Ufology?
Ufology: Science and Flying Saucers gives us a look into what eventually could be the future for the Ufologist, if you want some type of formal accreditation. A UFO Club in Hong Kong is meeting once a month, pouring over recent sightings, photographs, newspaper articles, etc. This group is made up of scientists and educators who are experts in physics, history and even paranormal activities. In a CNN interview, club member Albert So says his club is lobbying universities for a UFO program. So is a professor at Hong Kong’s City University, which would probably be one of the first to offer such a degree program. In listing his criterium for the degree, So lists the following as requirements; mathematics, physics, history, philosophy and also other technologies and any other skills which relate to the subject. So also states that mainland China views the subject of UFOs in a very serious matter, serious enough to require a degree. Are you ready to sign up?
