UFO Photograph-No Probative Value
Just to get a point across to the debunkers of UFOs. We are always hearing how every photograph of a possible UFO is fuzzy and out of focus, or taken on a cloudy, hazy day and therefore has no probative value. True that a photograph that fits that description is useless, but what about a clear photograph, like the one included here taken on April 25, in Texas? Nice photo! But, it has no probative value either, yet for a totally different reason.Photographs, video film, and sighting reports are found on an open source MUFON page. You can easily find it at the MUFON site. It is nice that UFO information is there for the general public to peruse, but herein lies the problem-not enough information. An example is the photograph. We are told that the photo was taken in Texas on April 25, 2007. And that's it.
The description given by the witness/photographer says something to the effect that he only saw the object when he uploaded it to this computer. We have no city named, and yes, Texas is a big state. We cannot contact the photographer to get more information. So, we are stuck with an excellent, clear photo, and no way to go any further. Again, the photograph is useless to the study of Ufology. You can see the full-size image at the MUFON site. But, I hope you don't have any questions, because I have no way to find out any more that what I have told you.

I have to admit ,there are alot of pictures that look like serious fakes , like someone trying to make a prank and get away with it. But how can we tell really ? There is one I saw recently about UFO lights coming down in Las Vegas which looks like the reflection of headlights on the camera lense to me, I’m sorry if i’m wrong but thats what it looks like . And yes i do believe with the technology NASA has that we will find other planets both like ours and not , as for SETI I hear ya but I still believe that trying doesn’t hurt so I remain a member ! I hope that someday whether it be SETI,NASA or just an individual that we finally make contact and that it’s a good thing not a bad thing. And that we all know the truth about all these abductions and whatnot ,and I hope they are peaceful as well!!
Look to the skies and hope for an answer that doesn’t hurt!!!!!
Interesting articles and I agree that this picture isn’t worth much, no references to landscape or anything else. But I do not think this is a clear photo either, looks blurry to me.
I just hope I live long enough for it to be proven there is life in more places than Earth.
Keep up the good work in giving us these things to read and check on.
In defense of MUFON, they do have a policy that protects the identity of witnesses to UFO events. To release more detail to the general public where the witness requested confidentiality is not good policy and would only lead to ridicule and unwanted publicity by many people. Openness is nice, but it often can lead to unwanted harassment.
