Strange Craft Photographed
For the last four or five days, there has been a lot of discussion about a set of photographs taken of an unusual craft. A small image is shown here. The witness/photographer of the original set made this statement:Last month (April 2007), my wife and I were on a walk when we noticed a very large, very strange "craft" in the sky. My wife took a picture with her cell phone camera (first photo). A few days later a friend (and neighbor) lent me his camera and came with me to take photos of this "craft". We found it and took a number of very clear photos. Picture #4 is taken from right below this thing and I must give my friend credit as I was not brave enough to get close enough to take this picture myself!
The craft is almost completely silent and moves very smoothly. It usually moves slowly until it decides to take off. Then it moves VERY quickly and is out of sight in the blink of an eye. MORE THAN ANYTHING I simply want to understand what this is and why it is here?

Only a fews days later, a second group of two photographs was taken of either the same or identical object over Lake Tahoe, CA. These photographs were submitted through the MUFON open submissions page. The second set was taken with a phone camera and the quality is poor. However, there is no mistaking that the objects are identical to the first set. This is a perfect example of what I discussed in an earlier blog, No Probative Value. We have some very intriguing photographs, but so little information for study. See what you think about these photographs.

Most people never see one ufo,
how is this person seeing it so ofen,and why hasn’t he brought in some police in to take pics?
I’ve never seen anything like that but i definetly can’t say that it’s not a UFO, maybe it could be something they sent down to monitor us or the surroundings for all we know or maybe sent to get samples of our lands and or such ? Who knows ? But it is definetly differant for sure!
Look to the skies and hope for an answer that doesn’t hurt!!!!
Until there are some quality supporting photographs as well as other credible eyewitnesses, then I’m going to believe this is fabricated via photoshop or some other photo editing program. For someone to see this as often as they claim, they should have contacted a professional photographer or local scientists or other individuals with video cameras such as news crews, etc. Hoaxes are what ruin the essence of the real thing.

What’s the approximate size? It looks like it might be powered by a high voltage difference. e.g. a fan with no moving parts, one set of electrodes on top and the second set underneath, high voltage flow from one electrode to the other causes air flow moving object.
The two objects are not identical. The first one has 5 “arms’ or “booms” and the one from Lake Tahoe has only four.
Yes Lloyd is spot on, I noticed it myself and I was going to comment on it,that the second set of pictures has got only 4 arms. As of the first set of having 5 arms.If the contraption was spinning very fast in the first pictures, then it would be out of balance,for one of the arms was much bigger then the others.It definitely has got some strange aerodynamics.If it is an elaborate hoax,why the hoaxer did not go for the conventional saucer shaped UFO? It would be more convincing.

The writing on the back of the device is very stereotypical, copied from SciFi movies like Star Trek and Alien. The “wires” on top of the device are always over the blue sky, as it is easier to make them fade away with PhotoShop. Probably they are hanging that thing by those wires.
I read this column on a regular basis and I think Billy does an excellent job. But this is the kind of “story” that should stay off of here. These photos are a blatant hoax, and it degrades the integrity of the entire column for even being posted on here. People go their whole lives without seeing a UFO..and this fool snaps multiple pictures of wacky looking craft hovering above the tree tops on consecutive days? It’s called Photoshop.
This looks like the real thing to me, It must be some kind of large craft used for gathering environmental samples, air pollution ect. You can tell by the design its diffentley anit-matter propullsion!

omgpeople…this picture is extremely fake…its abviously photoshopped and blurred just a little bit to create a probabilty factor. FAKE!!
im just wondering if this craft is there so often why not video tape it.
I would to like believe these are real because more than one set of people have photgraphed this craft. But if it were real you would think they’d have more than a few pics, video and more solid proof (local Sheriff, Ranger, etc). These guys could be millionaires with solid proof. Probably a hoax. But interesting craft, Hollywood take notice.

If all will check out NASA and see the probe sent to Saturn, I think there are too many similarities between the ’strange craft’ and the probe. I dont recal whether it was the ‘Gemini’ space voyager to Saturn or Jupiter. One of those two though. We need a close-up of the writing, and then any writing on the NASA craft for comparison. Have not had time to researc this.
Update: The CASSINI was the probe to Saturn, and Gaileo was to Jupiter. My best guess on design would be Cassini. Now as to what is going on, and who-dun-it, I dont have a clue.

WOW. At first glance it looked kind of fake but after reading about it and looking at all the pictures, I’m more convinced that this object could have been really there.
Some of the comments I have read on coast2coast and other sites have led me to believe that this IS an earthly craft developed by someone with physics background, lots of cash, and too much time on their hands. The technology exists, and has for some time. So, the big question now is ‘
where in the World is Chad?’ Not too many miles from area 51?

The mufon photos and the photos on about.com are not the same. Look at the “arms” on both crafts. The mufon site’s craft has 1 long and 2 short arms. This one has only 3 short arms. This is definitely not a hoax. Aliens have been here for thousands of years. I think this is a craft gathering information on it’s surroundings.
I’m begining to think that these “Strange Craft” exist only in someone’s computer.

This “type ” of craft reminds me of the work of Nikola Tesla.
At first I thought this was an alien probe. However after studying it further it appears to be of human manufacture. I do Photoshop and if this is Photoshopped it is very good, even the fringing matches the fringing on the foliage. The writing could be Japanese, but you would need someone that could read it to verify that. The Japanese use a combination of different forms of writing together including our alphabet, but it could be made up to look alien. Hopefully in the future we will learn what this is. For now it is at least a fun mystery.

New info places these craft with the forest service, watching for fire hot-spots. Will we ever know for sure?
I agree with LIZ comments. Aliens have been here for ages and they must be monitoring something on earth. We cannot say that it is not an UFO. It might be.

MYSTERY SOLVED! THIS IS A HOAX! HERE IS THE PROOF:
I just compared the characters written on this craft with those from an image taken from the “Matrix” movies (one of the famous “flowing data” shots), and I can find EVERY character on this craft in the Matrix image - not just close, but EXACT in shape, orientation, etc. Either the makers of the Matrix movies know an alien language OR this is a blatent hoax. The hoaxer couldn’t even make up their own phony alien characters, they had to steal them from Hollywood. Check for yourself. This is real. I’ve seen real UFOs with my own eyes on several occations, and this isn’t even close to being like any of them.
Mr. DiPaolo, if you could provide a link to the photos of those letters it would be appreciated. I’d like to have a look at that myself.
It’s paradoxical that we keep clamoring for better and more clear photos of UFO’s, but when photos of such clarity appear they are almost immediately decried as hoaxes. I suppose that the reason for that is that they almost always DO turn out to be hoaxes.
I have to add my voice to those of others who feel that these pictures are just TOO perfect. Add to that the fact that only one person is apparently seeing this alleged object, but he is seeing it on numerous occasions. If the craft, or a number of similar craft are visiting that frequently, it seems that other people would be seeing them also.
And I also question the markings on the “arm” of the craft. That just seems too “Star Trek” to me. I can’t see any reason for aliens or anyone else to plaster script all over every part of a probe that can be seen from below.
I feel that these photos are contrived. They are redolent of Adamski’s photos in that he seems to have been the only one who got pictures of the “flying saucers”, and aside from a couple of close cohorts was the only person to see the “Venusian space ship”. This seems very similar in that regard.
Since there appear to be more than one of these things (same technology…different extension or boom configuration) and they are being photographed by two different people in excess of 200 miles apart…I’d say we have much more than a mere Adobe PhotoShop hoax afoot here.
If this is man-made (which I believe it probably is) where does the technology come from that allows it to remain aloft…to hover, to move while slowly spinning and to “exit stage left” via a very high speed “mosquito on water” modality? Bernoulli would turn over in his grave if he saw this thing fly san-wings or propellers!
I am still waiting for the video. Pictures of these craft have come from different places, but it could be the same person or persons behind them all. Maybe “Chad” has his video and is taking some time to finalize a deal with a producer. Maybe we will see this craft in a TV special one day.

Looks and feels like a hoax, seems too “artistically” placed in each shot. Only a very small portion of the object is ever behind branches etc. Just feel like CGI.
Verdict: FAKE, but the best one I’ve seen since the “moonbase” video!

seems to me if you look at it for 10 minutes you could make a copy of it very easy……..it is to easy to fabricate one. Bring in the cops or a shotgun to shoot it down. My bet is IT WILL FALL APART

Whether the craft has four arms or five has little to do with the overall familiarity of the basic structure. There is the possibility that an arm is extended for a particular purpose, and if that purpose is not needed- hence only four arms. Duh! I am really amazed at all the feedback from this. We have the scientific community which seems very limited as to the possibility that some tech-savy brainiac has not figured out that this can be done. And there are those who REALLY amaze me—those who believe that there is “No Such Thing-or possibilitiy that someone could create an UFO” why are they even checking this out. The true ‘non believer’ would not venture into the realm where they may actually be put in a position where their beliefs may be jeprodized. FACT or FICTION!!!!!!! Come on –I dare ya

I think the pitures are very good but each time they show a new picture the image different from the next, I have seen three diierent ones and all similare to the other one .The writings on it are similar to early klingon space ship writtings,on the earliar star trek episodes,besides it looks more like an antena more than a probe .I also noticed that it’s mostly frame and no room for a propulsion unit,unless it is a very good image of a hologram that some one has learned to project in the day light sky,I think if I was going to make a hokes like this I would put a little more meat on the object and give a little more believable propulsion system and better alien writting,and some thing that no one has ever seen.
I gotta tell you people…I have conflicting opinions on this object. I would to believe that the goverment has the TECH to create some sort of probe for ecological research or something of the sort, but what’s with the Klingo-Oriental cryptography?
And as for the view dirctly underneath the craft; if someone has the time and opertunity to get that close to an Alien Craft, why weren’t they beamed aboard for tea and crumpets? This ’sighting’ continues to be extensively discussed at the OpenMinds forum. The feeling there is that this is a real object from space. It must be borne in mind that this forum is primarily a new-age cult and that the discussions there are therefore highly suspect. Any skeptical poster there is summarily banned by the administrator. A more realistic discussion was recently held on Above Top Secret until it became obvious that the entire affair is a well constructed hoax.

If you read back through the ‘Best yet’ thread you’ll find that the most incisive posters such as Smokey, Cartoonsyndicate, theShadow, and Ibrahim have all been either banned or threatened with banning for offering the opinion that the entire episode is a hoax. So be forewarned! Only true believers are tolerated there. But the discussion is interesting in any case.
I would say that the photos almost speak for themselves, without a doubt.

very strange, I happen to be reading a book called the keepers, about a guy named Jim Sparks who was abducted over and over agian for many years by the greys and reptoid aliens. They tought him there alphabet and the writing on the ship is pretty dead on with it, very strange.
First of all none of us are there to see it with our own eyes, so we can only theorize. It would be nice if Chad can furnish a video taped movie to be examined. From the image it appears to be a reconaisance radio probe of some sort, controlled by remote control. Without knowing the dimensions or getting more details (video) one cannot speculate more. My intuitive feelings is that is is a real object. With all the recognizable symbols and lettering, it is obvious that it is terrestrial.
