Below please see an unusual UFO sighting report made by two boys while fishing at a summer camp in Kentucky in July, 2011. Thanks to his mother for sending in the sighting report.
At the end of July, 2011, a mother and her 12-year-old son went to Camp Webb in Grayson, Kentucky. He and another boy were fishing off the dock of what she believes was Grayson Lake.
The boy was attempting to win the prize for "Angler of the Week," and claimed the prize by catching 32 fish. His prize was a brand new fishing rod.
Winning the prize was not the most memorable part of his trip, however. While he was there, he witnessed something quite unique - a perfectly round flying object approximately 2 feet in diameter.
Unknown Object Seen
The unknown object had a glowing, blue rim with vein-like, lighter blue glowing in the center of it. He immediately questioned his fishing companion; "Did you see that?"
The boys stated that they could hardly follow the object through the air, as it moved so quickly. At one point it would appear and then reappear only several feet away from them. Then they saw the object simply vanish into the lake waters.
A Possible Explanation
After the UFO had disappeared, our main witness told the camp counselor about what they had seen. He did not have an answer. However, he did suggest that possibly it was a hoax. Maybe someone had painted a turtle and threw it into the air to frighten the boys.
But the 12-year-old was not buying the counselor's theory. Being mature for his age, he said; "No way, I know what a turtle looks like as I see them all the time at our lake."
He had almost a lifelong experience at the lake at his family's home in Kentucky, and was familiar with much of the state's wildlife. His family were outdoor people and were knowledgeable about snakes, turtles, fish and all of the other wildlife in Kentucky.
The young lad is very reluctant to talk about his experience and what he saw that day at the lake. He is afraid that because of his young age, no one will believe his story. Only his fishing partner can corroborate the sighting, but the two boys did not know each other and do not communicate any more.
Conclusion
As in many UFO sightings, the young fisherman had trouble trying to explain what he saw. Normally, he can easily relate experiences about seeing native animals and fish in the waters. He is certain, however, that what he and his fishing buddy saw was not anything conventional.
His mother is certain that there are no known fish that could even to begin to explain what the boys saw that day. The young fisherman will never forget what he saw on the summer camp fishing trip.
Thank you to our reader who sent in the report.
