Earlier Sighting
My UFO sighting wasn't the first time that something strange had happened around this area. Around ten or so years ago, my brother and sister were walking home one night, and they saw a ship hovering in the field next to the road.
They said that it made a low 'humming' sound and was in the shape of a triangle. They watched as it passed overhead and soon sped off out of sight.
August, 2010
My experience happened in Walnut Grove, Missouri, August 20, 2010, at around 10:30 PM. By this time, it was plenty dark outside. My sister, brother, cousin, and myself all went outside to get some air.
We sat down looking south towards Springfield, Missouri. We had been outside for maybe five minutes and all of a sudden, my sister leans forward and points to an object in the sky, asking us if what she saw was a plane.
We all looked and soon started commenting on how many lights were on this plane or object. The lights were flashing close to three times as fast as an average plane you might see at night. Along side of the flashing object, we noticed that it had many more lights than a plane... all of which seemed to flash in some kind of order.
One Object... Then Two
At this point my interest starts to increase. My sister suddenly notices another exact plane flying beneath it in the sky. If you were to put your arm fully out and put two fingers together, that would be close to how near they were flying to each other.
The objects were flying at the exact same speed through the sky. Intrigued at this point, I had gotten up off of my chair and made my way halfway through the yard. We were all excited and pointing to the objects.
Then There Were Three
At that moment, my sister points and screams, "There's another one!"
We looked, and coming miles behind the rear of these two objects was another exact craft. It soon catches the two in front, and flies alongside them easterly, towards Springfield.
They pass a few miles through the sky and all of a sudden they start to maneuver. The two craft on the outside (of the three) begin to turn and almost hit the one in the middle. One would fly in as the other would begin to fly out. They did this several times.
When they finished those set of moves, the two on the outside flew in a 'sphere like' motion around the one in the middle! At this point, the 'ships' turned from their heading and started South in our direction. By then, the three ships had slightly spread apart, one in front, and one way in the back behind the middle one.
Even though they were apart, they would still maneuver towards each other and makes passes forward or sideways until they were out of sight behind the woods at our house. I soon called my cousin to go outside and see if he could see the UFOs in the sky.
Another Witness
I began to tell him what I just saw and almost before I finished telling him the story, with us both looking for more in the sky, we saw two out of the three UFOs returning from behind the woods flying North back toward Springfield. As they began to fly straight overhead, we noticed another flashing craft, flying south towards us from Springfield, approaching the original three.
These ships were flying very fast. The one from Springfield was soon in the paths of the others, and flew right by them so close that we thought they might hit one another. It passed and we watched and soon noticed that the final ship, out of the original three, began to fly back North over the woods.
A Larger, White Craft
These two ships crossed fairly close also. As all of these UFOs eventually flew out of sight, we all kept our eyes to other parts of the sky. My cousin soon told me over the phone that he noticed another object in the air. This one was slightly different. It was just a white ball of light.
It looked like double the size of a satellite in space. We watched it as it flew really fast, and almost saying it together, my cousin and I commented on how we both saw the light switch into two balls of light. They seemed to fly in close to one another, then back out to their original positions. They soon flew out of sight!
As the ship flew out of sight, that was the end of the intense sightings. For the next couple of hours, we would see similar craft flying through the sky, and some would pass close to one another like the previous UFOs.
Hopefully that made sense. To me, it was a very exciting thing to witness!
