Colorado - 09-02-10 - I was camping last weekend with my wife, daughter, and a family that we know well. We were out a bit west of Lake George. While we were hanging around the campfire, I took to looking at the sky.

I love looking at stars and like to see if I can see satellites and other phenomena. I also have trained my eyes to cue in on movement due to many years of hunting experience.

So, I was looking up at the sky while we were all talking and I saw a very small star apparently move. However, it was not an airplane, (I saw several while we were there) and it was not a satellite, as I have seen many of those as well.

This star was moving back and forth, up and down, diagonally, slow and fast. The funny thing was it stayed in a fairly well defined area.

As I looked up, the area of movement would be similar to holding up a tennis ball at arm's length. Within this area, this star moved erratically, and was not predictable.

For a while no one else could see what I was pointing out, but my wife and the mother of the other family finally saw what I was seeing. They also said they could see this star move back and forth, up and down, fast and slow, etc.

I don't know if anyone else has seen such a thing, or if anyone else reported seeing something unusual on Saturday, August 21st, 2010. I just wanted to know if you have heard of anything like this.

I pride myself in being observant, and an amateur astronomer. I am very interested in space and astronomy, and love to look at stars. Also know that I was a data analyst, and am able to observe things. Source: www.ufocasebook.com

Colorado - 09-04-10 - I was outside on the deck with my family at dusk when my wife noted, "Look at those planes," to my daughter.

I moved to see them, expecting to see military planes which fly over often from nearby Fort Carson, and instead saw two cigar-shaped craft with no wings flying side by side.

We all watched them fly from east to west over the mountains at a very high altitude over the clouds. They flew in the same manner and appeared to be the same size as two 747s cruising at 30 - 40,000 ft - except they lacked wings.

They made absolutely no sound. Even when jets cruise over at 35,000 ft, you can hear them out here. We watched for about 45 seconds as they disappeared over the mountains. It felt very strange as they did not appear like any planes we had ever seen before. Source: www.nicap.org

Colorado - 09-10-10 - I was taking my grand daughter for a walk in broad daylight near my home. There were scattered clouds in the sky, but it was mostly clear.

I looked up and noticed an odd-shaped object moving slowly from a westerly direction moving easterly. It was high in the sky, and was quite a long distance from my vantage point, but I could tell immediately that it was not an aircraft.

There were no wings or helicopter blades and there was no sound. My first thought was that it was some sort of balloon, but it didn't resemble balloon shapes that I'm familiar with. After moving slowly eastward for a time, it stopped and hovered above my head for perhaps a minute or so.

I always carry a small camera with me so I pulled it out and snapped a couple of photos zooming to the maximum that this camera is capable of (about 5 x). I wasn't sure that the pictures would turn out since it was difficult to zero in on the image with the camera's viewfinder.

After a minute or so the object drifted behind a small cloud. I watched for several minutes thinking that it would pass through the cloud and become visible again. After it vanished behind the cloud I never saw it again.

My initial reaction was that this was an object that is not commonly seen, at least in my experience, and it definitely piqued my curiosity. Source: www.mufon.com

Colorado - 09-15-10 - Between 2 and 3 PM on Wednesday, 9-15-10, deciding to do a brief meditation exercise on my deck, I set up a chair in the shade on the north side of my home (a small DelTec house with all-around deck).

I have a clear view from there of the Blanca Massif, 15 miles to the North, at about 330 true. This is also the view from my "office" (I'm retired) as I sit at the computer.

It was a very clear, sunny day, and as it was quite warm (even at 8,500 feet) I was conscious of the house soffit providing shade at this spot. This permits me to know the time approximately.

As I have been retired to this house since the summer of 1999, and as my office has been at the same spot all this time, the nice view of the mountains is something absolutely well-known and routine to me. I have looked at exactly this spot no doubt more than thousands of times in these years.

But this time, to my immediate surprise, I notice quite clearly a sun-reflecting metallic sphere slightly to the right (east) and slightly up from Blanca Peak. (Angle from sun to object to me, about 60 degrees.)

I feel immediately that it is something I've never seen before and quite large, because I have lately been paying close attention to the aircraft passing above me here, ordinary jets and military aircraft are quite common, but lately I have been paying attention to them.

With my unaided 20-30 vision I can make out the different shapes quite well as they pass over at, say, 35,000 feet, about 5 miles above me. This metallic sphere was definitely larger than the largest jet aircraft I see, and it was at least 15 miles away (distance from here to Blanca Peak).

It subtended an angle about one half to three quarters the length of an overhead jet liner. I felt that it was beyond the mountain some indefinite distance, but not far. Source: www.mufon.com
