I have received what I believe is a very credible report from North Dakota, which is a state we don't hear a lot from regarding UFOs.
Our report comes from two witnesses - a father and his daughter. They claim to have encountered a large, triangle-shaped UFO in the city of Casselton on April 11, 2012. Though they only got a brief look at the UFO, it was a clear one, and affected them for some time.
On the north side of town, at about 9:48 PM the account begins as the father and daughter were enjoying the evening sitting at a campfire in their backyard.
They often would sit outside on good weather nights and watch the stars and an occasional plane fly overhead.
An Evening of Sky Watching
The evening of the 11th was a very clear night with no clouds or moon in the sky. The pair were discussing a plane they had seen in the southeast moving toward the East, when suddenly the father saw something that caught his attention.
Coming from the East was what he described as "blur" or "smudge" of lights. His very first thought was that they were going to see a meteor shower. Soon, after his eyes became more focused, he saw what the lights were; a triangle UFO.
He described the object as an equilateral triangle. It was moving almost directly overhead. The object was moving north-northwest. It had 3 dimly-lit lights near the points of the triangle. He did not notice the color of the craft; however, his daughter thought it was black or dark gray.
She also saw that the points on the triangle were rounded as opposed to being sharp. The experience lasted only a short period of time before the craft was out of sight, so each of their brains could only process a limited amount of information.
No Sound from Object
The craft made no noise that they could hear, but they knew that because of the great distance, they may have not been able to hear any sound coming from the UFO. Also, not knowing the size of the craft, it was not possible to assess the height and velocity.
The father surmises that if it was the length of a mid-sized commercial jet liner, he would guess that the craft was about 1,000 feet above them and moving perfectly straight at 150-200 mph.
Ongoing Triangle Mystery
In recent years, the mystery of the triangle UFOs has been a subject of much discussion and debate. When the USA-engineered "stealth" planes were made known to the general public in the early 1990s, many latched on to the theory that military planes could explain the vast majority of the triangle reports.
There is no doubt that man-made vehicles do account for some of the reports, but when one considers the many accounts of giant-sized triangles seen flying too low for a conventional craft to stay in the air, and the fact they have been reported moving slowly without a sound, the military craft theory falls short to explain many of the sightings of triangle UFOs.
If we accept the fact that our military is experimenting with a triangle-shaped craft of some type, why would they fly them over civilian neighborhoods, taking a chance on a mechanical failure, which would blow the lid on any type of secrecy?
