Bethany Beach - 06-27-12
This sighting was a daytime sighting about 2:00 PM over the beach at Delaware Seashore State Park. I was lying on my back on the beach with my wife next to me when I saw what looked like a star in the sky.
I noticed that the object was below the clouds. I realized that the object was not a star, and I got the binoculars which I had with me and sighted in the object.
I had a clear view of a silver object which looked like two balls stuck together. I told my wife about it and she also was able to see it with the binoculars.
We watched it for over an hour as it hovered over the beach. About 3:00 PM the object began getting smaller. I believe it was rising. There were no clouds near the object at this time.
About ten minutes later the object began moving westward towards the sun. I was not able to follow it any longer due to the brightness of the sunlight.
I did not see any flashing lights, just merely the objects themselves. And as for the shape of the craft, they were a spherical or circular. I did not see any visible wings, but that does not mean there weren't any wings because from my vantage point, I was quite far. The reason I decided to report this is the peculiar cloaking and reappearing nature of these crafts.
I have never seen any aircraft ever do this to my knowledge. As to the specifics of weather, it was not quite raining yet, it was cool outside due to the coming frontal system, daylight was still visible although it was quickly dimming due to the dark cloud systems forming, and this is my 2nd late evening sighting within 3 days. Also, the objects left no visible contrails and I did not hear any audible jet or engine noise.
Bethany Beach - 07-14-12
A yellow-lighted large, soundless disk was seen over Bethany Beach for over one hour. I was heading northbound on Route 1 approximately 5 miles south of the Indian River Inlet Bridge.
All at once, a group of 10-14 yellowish lights forming a circle caught my attention. Its orientation was at about a 45 degree angle from dead straight on.
It was just over the horizon to the right of me apparently about 5 miles away. It was about the size of my fist held out at arm's length. It was over the Atlantic Ocean as the bay and the ocean are about 100-150 yards away from this highway.
As it got closer, the 10-14 lights retained a circular shape, and appeared to get bigger. As it moved closer following the shoreline the object tilted from its top towards me while retaining its general 45 degree orientation to flat on.
At this point I realized that this was a disk shape. It continued to move past on the right until it left my field of vision. There was no discernible color to the apparent body of the craft but it did block out stars behind it as it moved. There was no sound. There had to be many other witnesses, and hopefully others will come forward.
Newark - 08-05-12
Two silvery-white circular shaped craft appeared to use a cloaking technology to reappear and disappear. I was on the deck of my backyard during the brewing of the late afternoon thunderstorms that were quickly covering Northern Delaware around 5-6 PM Eastern Time.
I was sitting on my deck watching the clouds swirl as there appeared to be one frontal system coming from a southwestern direction that was bisected by another from a southeastern direction.
As I stood on my deck watching the clouds move with grace and speed, I noticed in the distance at what appeared to be a great altitude, maybe that of what you would typically see inbound and outbound flights appear at, but just under the main cloud layer that was forming.
They were a silver-white color and my initial thought in trying to recognize what these 2 objects were is that it may have been 2 seagulls flashing their white underbelly as the sun shines a reflection from it to my direction.
However What happened next lead me to believe these were not birds or traditionally inbound, outbound passenger airliners as they disappeared as if they were cloaking for 2 seconds and then they reappeared in the next breath to only disappear for good after a few more seconds (another 2 to 3).
They were flying in the general direction that the storm system was heading, a northeastern direction (they were following the frontal system that was coming from the southwest). Both of these objects were far from where I was standing, from what I could tell but they were tightly grouped together.
They did not zig or zag, they merely were flying in what appeared from my parallax as a straight pattern toward a northeast direction. Maybe due to the sunlight's distortion or other exogenous factors, the crafts appeared to be silver at first, but then they appeared to be more of a pure white color.
