Billy Meier is one of Ufology's most interesting characters. He is almost worshipped by some, and yet he is called a hoaxster by others. Known for some of the clearest UFO photographs ever taken, his legacy is one of enigma, and his story one most interesting. His photographs are probably more recognized by students of UFOs than any other photographer's.
Meier was born in Bulach, Switzerland on February 3, 1956. For many years he has claimed an ongoing relationship as a contactee, both physical and mental, of alien beings from the planet Erra. These contacts, according to Meier, began at the young age of 5.
He claims that an extraterrestrial named Sfath was his first contact, and his involvement grew through the years with a second contact, Asket.
In January of 1975, Meier began a long series of meetings with Semjase, a female Pleiadian. It is her so-called "beamships" which the one-armed Meier would photograph in dramatic, up close fashion, making him a household name in Ufology.
Meier would eventually take a staggering 1,000 photographs or more, making him easily the most prolific UFO photographer ever, and though the context of his teaching from Semjase would be documented word by word, it is his photographs that he is known for.
From a FIGU (Free Community of Interests for the Fringe and Spiritual Sciences and Ufological Studies) booklet, comes the following statement:
"There is probably no other case as richly documented by witnesses’ testimonies and material as this one, even though none of the witnesses has ever had personal contact with extraterrestrials."
"This privilege was granted exclusively to Billy by the extraterrestrials who came from the planet Erra in the open star cluster of the Pleiades. They have never conducted personal conversations or conscious telepathy with any other person."
Meier Photographs There have been very few photographs taken of UFOs that parallel Meier's photos. His photos were not taken randomly: the Pleiadian beamships allegedly appeared purposely to prove themselves to a disbelieving world. It also adds validity to Meier's truths learned from the Pleiadians.
The vast majority of the beamships appeared to Meier in a remote location in Switzerland between the years of 1975-1982.
Meier took stunning still photographs, and also motion picture film of the Pleiadian ships. Because Meier only had one arm, he used a camera his could easily handle, the Olympus 35 ECR, for the still photos.
Meier Legacy His moving picture film was taken using an 8mm movie camera, and he also graduated to more modern cameras as the years went by.
Debunkers of Meier's photographs have been hard pressed to find evidence of fakery. Some of Meier's most dramatic photos were examined by Kodak Corporation in Japan, and in America.
After analysis of the film for any type of editing, wires to support fake UFOs, and splicing, no evidence could be found to suggest a hoax. It has been said that debunkers have even resorted to less than legal activities to debunk the classic photographs, but to no avail.
The almost unbelievable UFO photographs of Billy Meier stand today as proof that not only are UFOs are real, but they have, and continue to visit our planet Earth.
