California - 10-24-09 - I was at my friends house watching the UFC fight on October 24, 2009, in Corona. After the fight was over, we all (at least 6 people witnessed this) decided to go out front of his house. Being out there for a couple minutes conversing, my friend's dad saw a light at a nearby mountain we call "Skyline."
At first, everyone assumed it was a car driving on the mountain on our side of the ridge line. But soon after we all realized it was definitely not a vehicle, it looked like a red / orange fireball - a circular orb slowly moving around.
Then all of a sudden it zips quickly, into the air above the mountain, and just sits there. Everyone saw this and was in shock immediately. It started hovering horizontally across the sky. At this point, I realized that the light was pulsating, and once in awhile flickered.
After about 2 minutes, it brightened up, then slowly faded away and disappeared instantly. I can definitely tell that by watching this reddish light fade away, it was obviously traveling away from my point of view. After this, everyone wasn’t sure if what we all saw was real, which clearly was, since we all stood together watching this 'thing'.
My friend's dad then said, "This is just shocking, completely real, and trippy."
This was my personal experience seeing a UFO. And I have been told by people that they have previously seen UFOs in Corona. And after viewing the episode of "UFO Hunters," and their visit to Corona, I am sure of what I saw, and what we all saw. Source: www.mufon.com
Georgia - 10-31-09 - My wife had a severe cold and I was awakened around 5:00 AM. I made a pot of coffee and as soon as it was finished, I got a cup and walked outside in the back yard. It was a crystal clear night, and I saw a falling star. It was a pretty one as it split into about 4 sections as it burned out.
I decided to keep looking up to see if I might catch another one. A minute or two passed and I saw something moving out of the north sky. It was a bright, star-like object, but it looked much larger than the surrounding stars. It was traveling southward at a speed slower than a falling star but much faster than any aircraft I've ever witnessed.
It was moving in a southeasterly direction and was out of sight within ten seconds. About a minute or so later, another one came by just like the first and it flew in the same direction at what seemed to be the same speed. I've never seen anything like this. Source: www.mufon.com
Pennsylvania - 11-02-09 - I was out having a cigarette on my roof deck in south Philadelphia around 1:35 AM. It was a little cloudy, but the moon was very bright, so visibility was good in terms of lighting. I was sitting looking at the sky, when something moving caught my eye from the north. I didn't know what it was at first.
I could tell it wasn't a plane, as I see many every night and am very familiar with their appearance at various altitudes. It was coming from the north going south. I thought maybe it was some kind of balloon or kite, but as it got closer, almost directly above me, I could see it was neither of these things. Although details of its surface were difficult to make out, the shape was very clear. It was a light color, maybe grayish, and in a cylindrical shape.
It was difficult to tell exactly how high up it was, but it was lower than most of the clouds in the sky, and didn't seem to be that far away. This makes the size difficult to judge, but it must have been at least 100 ft. It was a very quiet night and it was clear. This thing was not making a sound.
The objects flight position is difficult to explain. The cylinder was parallel to the ground, but it was moving at about a 45 degree angle from its flight path. At some point while watching I had stood up, and as it passed over, it looked like it was emitting several points of light along its length.
These lights were whitish, but were not very bright at all. After it moved a little south of me, it entered into some lower clouds, and I was unable to see it again. I sat back down, completely shocked and trying to figure out what I had just seen. I looked back up hoping to see further evidence of what had just happened.
After about a minute or so my eye caught a similar movement coming from the same direction, but a little more east of me. When I saw the second one coming I felt shocked.
After the first disappeared, I was trying to convince myself it had been some sort of floating debris, my imagination, or a prank, as I had seen the story about the balloon boy a couple weeks ago. But when the second appeared I was immediately convinced that none of these were true.
At first it appeared very similar to the first. It moved silently and steadily southward. After about ten seconds or so of observation, I saw it was emitting lights just as the first one did. However, at this point the object seemed to change its shape. It seemed to curl up into a spiral-like circle, but its speed or path did not change. Texas - 11-01-09 - I had gone outside to cool off as the house was warm. I had noticed how the full moon had made the stars rather hard to see.
After a few minutes I was on my way back inside when I heard a bird chirp. I looked straight up and saw a large object with a dark, shimmering appearance gliding directly overhead traveling from North to South at what I would say was about 1000 ft and would estimate the speed at about 50 to 60 MPH.
The closest comparison I can make to the shape is that of a B-2 although the slow flight speed and the fact that there was absolutely no sound baffles me. I watched it until it faded into the night sky at distance and never saw any lights on the object. Source: www.mufon.com
