Reporting UFOs

Monday August 7, 2006
The issue of UFOs has always been one of controversy; filled with stories of cover-up, conspiracy, hidden agenda, and above top-secret groups. This is one of the things that makes the entire study of UFOs complicated to the point of one giving up on ever getting to the truth behind all of the sightings, photographs, and videos. It is very frustrating to say the least, and it does, at times, seem like no progress is being made at all. We continue to happily receive and log reports, and post and analyze photographic and video evidence, but one must ask, "Will there come a time, when all of the questions will be answered by some unexpected announcement by a government spokesman?" Well...one can hope, but realistically speaking, "It ain't gonna happen." A recent article I found on the Internet is a treasure trove of background information on why the press won't engage the UFO problem, and why governments cover-up what they know. Be sure to check this out.

Reporting on UFOs by Tim Swartz, is excerpted from the July, 2006 issue of Fate Magazine. This is one of those "must read" articles for all UFO students. Mr. Swartz tells us that the mainstream press still holds to the idea that UFO reports belong in the supermarket tabloids. Also, those journalists who have published well written and researched articles on the subject have been shunned by their peers. Swartz also believes that some of the old beliefs are still with us; most notably the idea that people who report UFOs are either mentally unstable, or at least uneducated. The press still holds to the idea that all UFO sightings can easily be explained away with enough research. We are told that in the late 1940s, UFOs were reported in the mainstream, that is, before they were considered taboo. The reason for this could well be that there was no immediate answer to the UFO mystery, and many reports could not be explained with the limited resources available, so to report something of this nature would just not be expedient. Swartz gives you a number of great examples of different cases that were overlooked because of the prejudice of the mainstream media. Also, several examples of government cover-up are cited. Even news people who have had their own experience are afraid to come forward with their information. Maybe this is why our UFO research always hits a brick wall. Someone, somewhere is controlling the information, and keeping it out of the hands of us "common folk," who, according to the skeptics, don't have enough knowledge to deal with it properly anyway.

I saw on a UFO special on TV, maybe History channel’s series, that the govt sent out a scientist to debunk the UFO sightings. After 12,000 investigations, he became a believer. Who was he and why doesn’t the govt believe him? You’d think with all this “evidence”, the govt would come clean with us.

It is whole governments that deem us all unready to know the truth. From actually stating that UFOs exist and contact was established years go (latest disclosure on SETI), or Bob Lazar’s discredited and ridiculed report about atomic element 115 being the power source for the alien spaceships (see currently the three major super-powers are now in top gear to be the first to set up bases on the Moon for mining…element 115 - the end of fossil fuels)…
why do they still fob us off?

I have MS.(I am 37 and on disibility) I lived in a government facility for a year with mostly the elderly and the ill.People died regularly. I have had dreams since I was young.I have also had visions that have come true. I am not stupid and have had education above high school. While I was living in this government housing I had disturbing dreams. The one that stays with me is one night a small abnormal looking man looked over at me and I had a tingling between my legs. He told me their best grounds were where people were old or dying and if I wanted to contact them again I should go to Shawno… the exit number was like 265 whatever….. it had a 6 in it…I am not familiar with Shawno(I am not even sure how you spell it)…it is too far away. I am not a freak but I guess I wonder…It was too real….I wasn’t really sleeping and too depressed to care.

Ok..I spelled disabilty wrong. Oh well. The thing is…. I know it is real. Take what you will from it. I don’t care if you believe. I know there is more. Maybe I HAVE to believe. The way the world is turning there has to be a bigger truth. I don’t think I have to be here much longer but I think the ones that are still here have to wake up. People can be so stupid….
