If You Took the Footage, What Would You Do?

Friday February 9, 2007
Every since the public disclosure that actor / UFO enthusiast Dan Aykroyd was in possession of video and still imagery of the O'Hare Airport UFO of November, 2006, there has been a tremendous amount of discussion about on it on message boards and web sites across the Internet. Everyone who has been anxiously waiting for photographic proof of this compelling case has been very disappointed by two things.

First of all, if Aykroyd is such a proponent of UFO research, why would he wait for at least a year before releasing his next UFO-related DVD containing the O'Hare material? Could he not, for the sake of research and all of us waiting, at least let us see a small segment of it, or maybe one small photograph? Is buying a DVD the only way we can see it legitimately?

Secondly, who took the photographs and / or video of the UFO, and why did they not at least release part of it to the general public? Were they simply holding out for the highest bidder? A small clip would have been appreciated. We want to know the truth! Is there really film of this UFO allegedly reported by a dozen witnesses? And we don't want to wait a year to see it.

But, on the other hand, just imagine for a moment, that YOU were the one who took the film. What would you do? If the film is legitimate, it could bring up to $100, 000.00. Others of less significance have gone for as much as 1/3 that amount. Would you release it to the public free of charge? Or would you put it up for sale to the highest bidder? Weigh in on this, I am very interested in what you think.

I am not sure what were talking about here. How could Dan Aykroyd wait a year when the O”Hare incident happened less then 3 months ago? Did he decide to include this in a DVD he was producing? I would if I could. Do we even know for sure they asked for money. I know if anyone who took the picture gets money it will of course be suspect even if with good character. So it goes. I hope money doesn’t spoil good research and I hope, if money is involved, the video and photo were taken in the presence of others who can confirm “this is the object” and wre not given any money.

Produceing a good DVD isn’t cheap, so I can understand the wait for it’s production. If I had footage of the one I saw 25 years ago, it would have been sold to the highest bidder. I kid you not.. it looked like the mothership from Close Encounters!

This is the first time hearing that Dan Aykroyd has possession of the O’Hare UFO pictures/video. So were any of the current O’Hare UFO pictures of the actual UFO? I know a couple pictures have been found to be possible fakes but the very first picture looked real possibly and maybe one other.

This just gets more interesting by the month! :-D

Look the folk at UAL are risking not getting pay raises, and being forced out of their jobs for telling the truth.

If they want to charge for it, why not.

It’s really up to the individual, and the circumstances.

When has it ever been bad to make a buck - short of violating the law, or someone’s rights?

The real issue is that we don’t want to be seeing fake UFO video, and photos from Aykroyd.

He’d better be very careful to get the story straight, or no one will believe him again - and that’s not good for a guy his age to risk his reputation.

So hurry up, and release the video - and for us poor folk we’ll be watching for the uploads to YouTube.

As someone who believes in life outside of our solar system, I think that the video should be released for all to see. I think this goes beyond the all mighty dollar. May Dan isnt true to the cause as one may think.

Well, since 1967 I have had to live with a first-hand encounter–have even had ufologists remove my spacecraft bluprint and map of the stars from my home! who knows? Maybe NASA has them right now!

I can even still communicate with “my brothers in the skies”. I have also extraordinary psychic abilities.
Don’t laugh or skoff. I am a lifelong n/s, n/d., professional CEO.

Just wish people would stop laughing long enough to learn from my experiences.

As long as Dan verifies these photos are real than that’s great. I agree that it does cost a lot to produce a film so I don’t think he’s getting rich nor making anyone else rich over it.
Also, the person who’s alias is (ME, #8 )…What? Ufologists took your blueprints? Were you planning on building a ufo? Just kidding. Sorry for your problem.

Well, no–but it was a blueprint for a craft I design to be appropriate to carry people away to other worlds…
I wish I had secretly kept a copy.

(12) James says:

I think it’s a lie. I’ve only heard one line from one report saying that Akroyd has this. If it were genuine, it would make it into the public domain.

Anyone interested in UFO’s should ALWAYS demand irrefutable proof if asked for money. Once you require money for your evidence, you’re a shill and your words are hollow.

(13) Nathan says:

I don’t know. If this is for real, its a huge deal and requires discretion and careful planning. The more care D.A. takes with his preparation of the footage and the documentary the better. It is very difficult for anyone in the UFO community to seem credible to outsiders. If he has to take his time and be scientific about it, I say great. Why rush it!

(14) rick raimondi says:

I need the money, so I would try to sell it. Danny boy may want to use it in a documentary or other..you know the old catch phrase “Never before seen” like that.

(15) Bridget says:

If I was the only person with the footage, (considering my financial woes) I would absolutely try to get top dollar for it. Hopefully the buyer will then go fourth and distribute widely and of course receive their return on this investment.
