UFO Sighting Reports
California-07-19-08-Around 9:00 PM, on July 18, 2008, the dogs were barking and growling, so I went into my office to look out the west facing window, and saw no one. Further to the west I saw a bright yellow-white light descending toward the earth. This light was about 1/2 inch long and maybe 100 ft. up, and was descending straight down, like a VTOL does.
About a half mile from my house is a PG&E substation, then a bare field of 5-6 acres, then an orchard. There is a house in the trees, but between what would be my line of sight and the house is another building. So I doubt I could see those lights.
There is a light from a service station at the corner that I see all the time, but this new light was several hundred ft. north of that light. I could see both lights simultaneously. I watched this for 30-45 min, during which time it dimmed several times, and once blinked out completely.
This morning I dared to drive down the dirt road, but could see not definitive evidence of a landing. Perhaps though I was not at the right spot. source: www.mufon.com
New Jersey-07-20-08-I was sitting on the beach, looking east over the Atlantic ocean as the sun was setting behind me. Looking south, I noticed a craft moving north at a pretty decent speed-say 60 MPH, based on the how long it takes me to drive the distance I saw it fly. Coast Guard helicopters and small planes dragging advertisements fly up and down the coast pretty frequently, and I always stop and watch as they fly by, just for fun.
When I first saw the craft, I figured it was a helicopter, but as it got closer, I started thinking it was a cluster of balloons that had gotten away. But then I realized that it wasn't spinning or moving up or down as balloons normally do in flight. It was flying straight without any noticeable change in speed or elevation.
The part of it hanging down (which I thought would be strings), was thicker than string would be, and was pointing directly downward, and not back toward the south like I would have expected if the balloons were being pushed by the wind.
It didn't make any noticeable noise. There was a bit of wind, but not enough to drown out the voices of the kids playing about 50 yards downwind from me.
Also, as far as witnesses go, there were at least 20-30 people on the beach that I could see and I watched as the craft flew past the boardwalk in Point Pleasant. Lastly, there was a couple walking north on the beach about 30 yards from me when it flew by. They stopped to watch it too, and afterward they asked if I knew what that was. I said, "No, and I won't say anything, if you don't." We laughed, and then said to each other, "No, really, what was that?"
Sorry I didn't have a camera or anything to take pictures. I bet someone in Point Pleasant did though, so I'm going to check flickr and youtube in a couple days for a post. source: www.mufon.com
Ohio-07-18-08-The night of the occurrence my husband, two children, and I were in our pool. I had looked up (as an avid star gazer), and saw a very bright singular light, miles away in the sky. It was similar to that of the spot from a helicopter. I pointed it out to my family... and stated that I wondered what it's looking for. I continued to think that it was a helicopter until it got a little bit closer and I noticed it didn't have any of the other lighting required for that type of craft.
As it came closer, its light went black and it stopped-just hovered over us at an angle.
At this point, we all had realized this was not a helicopter and we were trying to come up with an explanation. We could still see the shadow of the object in the night sky, and at that point there was one reddish-orange light rotating slowly around the saucer/spherical shadow. It was within a range at this point that any engine would be heard... There wasn't a sound.
As it maintained its descent, we had decided to hop in the car, as we lost it in the silhouette of the neighbor's roof top. We could not locate it again. I can honestly say that I have never had a more unexplainable occurrence within my lifetime. This was not a remote control toy. It was miles up in the sky when we first saw it. The size of the object is truly unknown, as we were unsure of the actual flight height of the object when it came closer. source: www.mufon.com
Pennsylvania-07-20-08-I looked at the sky before I went to bed, and I saw a bright star I thought it was just the North Star, but then I looked out the other window and saw that it was on the other side. I immediately woke up my family and showed this thing to them. We could not figure it out.
I watched it for over 30 minutes, and it didn't move, so it wasn't a airplane or helicopter.
Now the most common answer to this is that it's just a star and the red I was seeing is just the solar flares. Although this wasn't at the altitude of all the other stars and in fact I saw the exact same object farther from where I was flying at the same altitude. I really want to figure at what this thing was and I wouldn't be surprised if anyone else saw it. It was very bright and stayed up there for over an hour.
After watching the object for over an hour. I thought I was going to have a seizure with the pulsating lights. I tried to rest my eyes for a little bit, and then wake up when it was lighter out to see what this thing was. Unfortunately I feel asleep. source: www.mufon.com
Great Britain-07-19-08-I saw 1 sometimes 2 red glowing and pulsating objects Near Bristol, Avonmouth. Visible from South Wales, these objects were just red, pulsating, glowing sphere-looking. They seemed to move across and up in roughly 5-10 minute loops, and seemed to also move further away as each reached greater altitude.
Occasional cloud cover and strong moon in backdrop has made videoing poor quality, and sadly I didn't think of getting any camera pictures, but it was very eerie to watch. The only sort of explanation I could think of was some helicopters, but they surely don't just glow red all over and definitely not with the luminescence that these constantly had!.
A circling formation was made by both, but one object was mainly observed. Distance of circling probably several miles. Distance away-a guess would be anywhere from perhaps 10 miles southeast of Caldicot area. Circling motion was smooth, not any rapid movements or spurts and in an east to west motion, and climbing up and slightly away from me before vanishing, reappearing again from the east-obscured by nearby rooftop of a house. source: www.mufon.com
Thanks for checking in this week, and be sure to come back next week for more UFO sightings from around the world. Until then, keep your eyes on the skies.

those Bucks county sightings interest me quite a bit. I saw the UFO casebook article on Bucks county UFOs. I hope they continue.
These have to be the saddest-lamest-dumbest sighting reports I have ever read in this column, or anyplace else for that matter. So what’s so exciting about seeing lights in the sky at night. For Pete’s sake, give us some real sightings. This is boring as hell. Doesn’t anything ever happen in the day time? Are all the lights from alien graduates of some night school somewhere in space? They seem to operate only at night. If they are studying us, they must be interested in us only when most of us are asleep.
Hey Roly, Did you bother to look at the photos? At least half are daytime photos. Don’t know what you’re looking at. Here’s some advice, pick up your camera and go get some awesome photos.
Jeff, more than you can imagine, I want so much to get a good photo of a UFO that I carry my CannonSureshot with me all the time. Even at night, no kidding. For a few years now, everywhere I go, I carry my camera just hoping that I will be the lucky one who will get a clear, sharp shot of the UFO close enough to distinguish indisputably what the object is. I don’t blame you for kicking back at me a little for my scepticism. I just can’t help it. I want to believe in these stories I hear but for over fifty years noone has come up with anything to convince me they are real. I JUST KEEP WISHING AND HOPING.
PS to response to Jeff, I have seen the photos you mention. They are daytime shots, I agree, but not really earth shaking. Not to me, at least.
i have proof that ailens are real and been on earth for many years my number is 1-773-567-2213 call around 1200pm-2pm i can show you better than i can tell you.
