Think about this: You are on a passenger jet, and starting your descent to land. Sitting in a window seat, you look out and see a circular, red UFO flying by.
Sounds strange, right? But that is exactly what happened in 2003 to a passenger on US Airways flying from Dayton, Ohio, to La Guardia in New York. Is this story credible?

I was listening to Coast to Coast radio a couple nights ago and heard George Noory and his guest (Tim Miller who has had unprecedented access to all of the Apollo astronauts sans Neal Armstrong) state that at least 5 Apollo astronauts have gone on record to state that they witnessed first hand unidentified craft during their missions, including Buzz Aldrin. This for me puts the debate to rest. Could these craft been secret black ops US govt craft, sure.. that is possible, but if we had technology like that then, where the heck did we get it? So, in short, sure.. I can believe this story, no problem.
I am sure some people that have on their flight.. possibly gazing out of the porthole may have seen a sphere out there. Be aware next time you may fly if you have a window seat. Look out and down beneath the clouds below if a gap appears then who knows what might fleetingly been seen.
I beleive this man saw what he did.
possibly the sun, plane was descending at the time, clouds could have covered it when he looked the second time. how about a red baloon, or an ufo.
Yes, the skies are full of these things~
They will mostly materialize for a nano-second, and then they are gone…
this is why digital media will capture them, but our brain tries to filter them out…
they are multi-dimensional, and they are calling the shots…

Uncorroborated single-witness reports don’t prove anything. A person can say anything they like and unless it is corroborated it is nothing more than that person’s statement.
It is possible that this gentleman did see something, and it’s also possible that he just THOUGHT he saw something. And there’s the possibility that he fabricated his account.
No way to prove any of those possibilities, no other witnesses, no photos, nothing. That equates to a non-event in terms of any serious UFO investigation.
Well Sam, in theory you could be right. However, without a sighting report there is nothing to investigate. Further investigation could, in theory, lead to the discovery of other witnesses or witness testimony.
While it is often important to suspend one’s belief, a thorough investigator does not throw away potentially useful information, surely?
Since the man’s view was extremely limited (a porthole) and the plane was undergoing violent maneuvers during a landing, the description of the object indicates a balloon to me. The “movement” of the object was certainly relative to the motion of the plane. As the plane descended, why wouldn’t the object appear to ascend? Especially if the object was relatively motionless to the Earth.
