Strange Sighting in Texas

By , About.com GuideMarch 1, 2010

Follow me on:

I would like for you to check out a recent UFO sighting reported by two people who were traveling on a lonely road at night in Texas. They encountered a group of different colored lights, which were several flying objects or one depending on when they looked.

This report is one of the most unusual reports I have read, and I think you will find it of interest. Check it out at Shape-changing UFO Seen in Texas, and don't forget to comment as you wish.

Yeah…has anyone seen any comments or reports from the witnesses in the other two cars that stopped? Multi-witness sighting reports are more compelling.

Very interesting story indeed, and quite descriptive. I just have this nagging vision of a speeding car with a screaming woman shooting out of the open sunroof with arms flaying in the wind. Kinda wish though these 2 witnesses had stopped to converse and compare what each saw with the occupants of the other vehicles.

It has often been reported and speculated on that these craft possess and utilize perhaps a variety of high technology cloaking devices, that can variously make them invisible (reflect an image of the sky above them to viewers underneath using some sort of plasma screen projection system. Such technology has already been duplicated here on Earth by the Japanese, and it is rumored that the Defense Dept is developing such technology to mask military aircraft.

Such technology might also be used to create the impression that an object (craft) is changing shape, color, etc., as well as size.

The “watery” visual effect has been noted several times in various sightings as well, and could very well be the result of heat being emanated from the craft (something like air over hot pavement) and/ or visual distortion from electro-magnetic propulsion effects on the air surrounding the craft. The shape-shifting illusion could also be a strategy to help confuse us even moreso in attempting to understand what it is we are really seeing.

This sighting has some similarity to the Rendlesham Forest incident in that the object both exhibited shape-changing capability and that it beamed a light down toward the ground.

These two actions have been reported many times in conjunction with UFO sightings. In the case of the Rendlesham Forest incident, Col. Halt personally saw a physical object at very short range, which subsequently became airborne for a short distance before breaking into five red lights. He also reported that earlier in the encounter, a beam of very bright light came down vertically in front of them.

I have no doubt that the witnesses did see what they reported. What it actually was is another question. If the other witnesses ever made any kind of report or call to law enforcement, I would surely love to have access to that. Not only would such a report give the sighting that much more credibility, but by permitting reconstruction of the positions of the vehicles at the time of the sighting it would allow investigators to get a better idea of the altitude and probable size of the object/objects.

And there is the question of whether this was one object that possessed some type of shape-shifting capability or some type of “stealth” system that distorted its image, or some phenomenon/object which was comprised of separate, autonomous but coordinated smaller objects.

Very interesting sighting – deserves more serious investigation.
