Our parent company, and the folks who sign my checks, the New York Times, has posted some very interesting comments by Robert
Bigelow, who, as you may know, is a billionaire, and has given millions of dollars to SETI, and also MUFON. He is in the process of building a space port in New Mexico. Here is some of what he said.
"I've been a researcher and student of UFOs for many, many years," Mr. Bigelow said. "Anybody that does research, if people bother to do quality research, come away absolutely convinced. You don't have to have personal encounters."
"People have been killed. People have been hurt. It's more than observational kind of data." (source: New York Times)
These are some very compelling comments, and I am wondering if someone like Bigelow, who is filthy rich, has some inside information that the normal guy on the street does not. What do you think?

By aliens/ufos?
By nefarious elements of government who come out of the woodwork threatening and/or harming those who possess the truth and who are seeking 2 disseminate it?

I dont believe that being rich makes someone have more info then anyone else. However when we humans search, we find, being that their technology is far more advanced then ours. The aliens may use people with money to bring new ideas to the table for humans, but we will learn what they want to teach us when they want to teach us thur our subconscious minds, or mental telepathy.
Skinwalker Ranch is supposedly a center of strange activity, including a “port” where E.T.’s exit out of at times. Alledgedly there was a battle between Bigelow’s paramilitary guards and some E.T.’s and some of his guards were killed. He does seem to have inside information, besides that. A very interesting fellow.

I doubt it. You know people are people. This guy just has a lot of money. I think he should spend his money on night cameras. Some really strange stuff going on at night. There’s a guy doing research on the Marfa lights in western Texas and he has seen all type of things with his night cameras. I think these types of cameras would have gotten the Phoenix lights from start to completion. They’re not so popular though because they take a lot of time to go through the footage looking for the magic moment. What’s he building, a spaceport???

If your interested in the Skinwalker Ranch stuff, there’s a book out called “Hunt for the Skinwalker”. It relates a lot of the crazy things that have happened there. The place is really bizarre!
I should have said this in my earlier post. “Hunt for the Skinwalker” tells the story of a family who buys a ranch in Utah, thinking to set up a small cattle operation. The disturbing things start happening almost immediately. Their cattle are mutilated, their dogs are are incinerated, 400 lb wolves appear to be bulletproof. The family runs away after 20 months and Bigelow buys the property and sets up a paranormal testing station. Well worth reading for anyone who is interested in UFO’s and paranormal activity.

Could you give a link to that NYT article on Bigelow? Kinda loose with specifics in your post, it would seem. Who does Bigelow say has been killed, and by whom? Obviously, he means aliens and/or the government, but he could go a long way by identifying people, cases, dates, so that we can cross reference known cases. Any unknown cases, and not known by the police should be open cases, and damn important to relatives, eh?
I’m curious about Bigelow, as he started NIDS. I know his plan with MUFON is to get the UFO propulsion technology. I wonder how realistic that is, given how the government is likely to move in and take what he finds,and clamp down with the more secrecy. I also wonder if he’s just the government’s “advance man”, the public cover for maintaining gov secrecy. Sounds paranoid, but given how the gov has responded to “downings” of ufo craft in the past, and how quickly, what does Bigelow really expect to accomplish?
How about you get an interview with Bigelow, Billy, ask those hard, interesting questions?

Robert T. Bigelow is just a wealthy business man hoping to capitalize on his space station business. He’s doing what he can to churn up business (i.e. interest) in space exploration and like issues. He hopes to get investment interest not from individuals so much as from governments.

Yeah, the big question, one must ask, is “huh?”
Getting people killed, what is Bigelow talking about, if only to churn up military interest? Or, an excuse for the already ongoing militarization of … name it.
I’m guessing he’s thinking about things like the Maury Island incident or the Mantell case. Both of these are in Wikipedia if you want more information, BTW.
Ann, you are 100% on target. Bigelow is just a self-promoting businessman.
I would want to see something to back up his claims about people being “hurt” and “killed”. Anybody can claim anything, but unless they have something to back it up then their claims are just words. I submit that Bigelow is blowing a bunch of smoke to draw attention to himself and his little enterprise.

He promotes himself? Everyone does that and it is not wrong. If you hunt for a job, you promote yourself. I think the man is sincere but as most of us not perfect. As far as whether or not alien abduction is real, it is real. I know as I have experienced it many times.
Bigelow’s comments about people being hurt and killed may well be referring to the pilots of various nations including the US, who died as a result of being ordered to shoot down the UFO’s. I’ve read that it happened a few times in the 50’s and early 60’s. As far as people being hurt, there are many cases of abductions where painful procedures are performed leaving the victims traumatized. Also there is the one incident where a man approached a landed UFO and received burns on his torso from standing too close to a vent. There’s 2 women in Texas who died from radiation poison while watching a malfunctioning UFO pass over with over two dozen Chinook helicopters following it. So I don’t think saying “people have been hurt and killed” is anything new.

The Flying Fisherman, yeah it’s ok to promote yourself, if you don’t lie about it. There is still such a things as honesty and truthfulness. Yes, this is even important when trying to get a job or to promote business ideas.
Sazerac, beware of the fact there is no other subject with so much disinformation about it than UFOs. Unless, you cite legitimate (note!) sources your only spreading it. For many abductees, a questionable experience at best, aren’t complaining; to many it was a good experience. Just look up John Mack, if you want to believe that stuff. And, unless your reading UFO fantasy mags of the 1950s, there weren’t many, if any, mishaps with UFOs. The Mantell UFO incident may have been due to the pilot’s fault not the UFO.
