Activist Promotes Openness on Alien Visitations

By , About.com Guide   July 30, 2010

Follow me on:

Activist Stephen Bassett, who is a big proponent of UFO disclosure, and the negating of government cover-up, is on a two week tour of Australia to promote his agenda.

As we hear more and more on government disclosure, Bassett has gone a step beyond. Last year he made a whirlwind tour of Europe, where he spoke of alien visitation to our planet, and how this information was carefully kept from the general public.

Bassett stated: "The ET presence is quite real; most of the major governments, or components of these governments, know it and this has been kept from the people for too long."

Do you think this type of information will ever be made public?

Before long, it simply won’t matter what governments do. Soon, it will be undeniably obvious to all.

Let’s be realistic here and a get dose of common sense. I’ve been a student of the ufo “enigma” for almost 40 years. I’ve debated the issue and lectured on it for most of my life. The US gov’t, or more accurately, elements in our gov’t and many influental people around the world and those in other gov’t will never disclose the truth about ufo’s. They don’t or wouldn’t have a problem saying ufo’s exist or where they’re from. They have a major fear from explaining why they are here, what they’re doing, what part they have played in history, and all the other questions that would follow. So they keep silent. That and knowledge is power and they control all the knowledge.

yes, it is as you say.
for example, here in russia your website is many times blokked because of former KGB fear of disclosure.
yet, it is obvious that the one-world contingent is planning a convergence of some kind.
they are the two heads of the same dragon.
you know the one of whom of which i speak.

On the basis governments know about ufo/aliens do we really think these things can be kept under wraps for so long. Sooner or later there is always somebody that leaks information.

(10) Understanding says:

At the end of the day all of this talk, speculation and tours of Australia, Europe and where ever else are meaningless. As Denzel Washington said in the movie “Training Day” … “Its Not What U Know … Its What U Can Prove.”

(11) Snake says:

I agree, Understanding. So far, zero proof. I guess Michael has some inside information? It’s hard to believe our government, who can’t keep any secret, can keep this one so long.

possibly there is no secret to keep?

“It’s not what you know … It’s what you can prove.” Ok explain James Gilliland and The Sattva Sanctuary in Washington. (Understanding – Snake) do your research and realize you are clueless to the reality of the situation that is at our door.

If ETs were to make their presence so obvious that nobody had any doubts that ET was real then, probably, I think, various informations would be gradually revealed.

In the meantime, I wonder what would be in our best interests. Without knowing what information might be available is it not impossible to judge whether something is best kept under wraps.

Sometimes people want information and they think they could cope with it; sometimes people are wrong about that.

So, if people who say they are ready to know what there is to know might not be as ready as they think they are then what of the people who are less ready?

I am not as confident as some that any possible disclosure would be the joyful ride that some view it as. And while we may want to know the truth no matter what it consists of, I think we should be careful to not treat assumptions as if they are facts.

(15) PhatAss says:

Hummmm…. Why tour Australia & Europe? Isn’t the UFO disclosure goal for the states? I think I’d be touring the states?

Are we ready? Are you ready? Does your religion say it’s ok?

How many religions will be proved wrong if disclosure happens?

Can you live with disclosure if it means everything you’ve believed in your entire life will be shattered and proved wrong?

I can deal with it. Can you?

(17) PhatAss says:

Albert is a perfect example of someone who can’t deal with it! :)

If it’s all “BS” as you claim. Then explain all the photos out there, explain area 51. Give us the truth Albert, tell us exactly why aliens aren’t real. There’s over a billion planets out there, you’re telling us that none of them have life on them?

After years and years and years of sightings. Albert has the answer. The truth is finally here!

Lets here it Albert? Why is it all “BS”? Finally! Someone here that can explain everything to us and set the UFO mystery straight! Thank you Albert!

Now, lets here your explanation of all the sightings. What are they really?

:O

(18) Dimitri says:

The question is inconsequential.
When the disclosure occurs,
Christians will be gone in a mass disappearance.
The aliens will explain it as quantum leap of consciousness for humanity.
But there will be those who will know the scriptures, and know about the dragon.
They will fight against the dragon, and will be beheaded by the dragon foe their faith in G_D
The Jews will be betrayed by the dragon, and will turn to the one they rejected.

(20) Gadrannanna says:

Two things there are a lot of in the Cosmos are movement and distance. Looking at these things with the notion we call time may cause us to get the wrong impression of what is possible.

I’ve heard that Einstein was reluctant to use the word time in describing his ideas because he did not feel it was an accurate description of the situation.

While E=MC2 may work well enough in boring situations we may well discover that if circumstances were sufficiently unusual that extra and, as yet, unknown events occur.

I have much respect for Einstein but I do not view him as an unerring god like some people seem to. Science has a history of claiming things as facts for a while only to be proved wrong by later science. Time will tell.
