Roswell and 'Inside Sources'

By , About.com GuideJuly 11, 2011

Follow me on:

You have probably heard about the recent release of Annie Jacobsen's book on the Roswell Crash, which supposed that the crash was really a missile sent from Russia, with dummies on board.

It seems that as soon as one theory comes out, another soon follows. This time it is supposedly from a researcher who says he has been in contact with what he calls "well-placed" sources within the Defense Intelligence Agency.

These sources state that the crash was legitimate. Check out all of the details of his claims at 'Inside Sources' say Roswell was Extraterrestrial Crash, and see what you think.

Heard her interviewed on the radio….Not impressed and don’t want to waist time reading her so called book. First of all no one has ever made a craft on earth that can not only fly but come to an instant hault and then vanish at such a spend that the human eye barely catches the glimplse of it leaving. She claims that Russia altered humans to look like aliens. In 1947 they didn’t have that kind of tech to send something thousands of miles in that small of a craft. It wouldn’t have had enough space for the fuel. The witness’s tell of how they had to be professional liar’s to their wives and family to keep area 51 a secret and yet for her they will tell the truth (go figure) There has been sightings for mellinias. Flying USO’s that when entering and leaving the water don’t even make a splash (my brother witnessed this while on the U.S.S. Edson in the 1960’s) This is just another diversion from the truth as if this is the newest truth. Area 51 was all about reverse technology. Don’t buy !t or the book either!

Don’t believe any of the Roswell crash stories. That whole issue was dead until the early 1980’s when Hollywood decided to make up some stories and make movies about Roswell.
It WAS a hi-tech weather balloon, not a disk. NONE of the ‘insiders” have proof they were at Area 51, Roswell, or anywhere associated with the incident. No credible private aerospace contractors ever admitted any knowledge of a Rosewell crash, and they certainly would have been involved in researching it, if there was a vehicle.
None of the people who claim knowledge of alien activity at Roswell have shown up on verifiable employee records, military records, nurse records, etc. They all claim to be off the radar for various reasons but were there regardless- baloney! The balloon remains went to WPAFB- no disc, no aliens, end of story

But what about Marcel and Corso? They were military officers who were there at the relevant times who were involved. Before they died, they came forward. Now, maybe they are attention grabbers, but at least Marcel seemed to be sincere – at least in the taped video interviews. Corso was there at Wright Patterson.

Edgar Mitchell (astronaut who made longest walk on the moon) is a very reliable source, has come out publicaly and said that the Roswell crash story is absolutely the truth!

(6) brock says:

I’m awake Catherine and don’t dispute UFOs, only the Roswell incident. I’ve read plenty on the subject including Mitchell’s statements, but again- no proof and using unamed sources. The truth about Rosewell, if there is any, will never be fully known, only speculated like Mitchell has done.
Need a new and better incident to get the real truth out there- no books or movies, just absolute facts and proof.

Brock: You’ve taken the rational approach to this Roswell thing. Nothing wrong with that. However, remember the first thing to ever be reported about this came from govenment officials and they disclosed to the press that it was a UFO. The next day the story took a complete 180degree full tilt boogie. One story is the truth and the other not the truth. Our government as good as it is also has a SECRET service side. We may never get the real story now that a (what looks like a cover-up) has been told. You have to keep in mind that if it was true, the government was sitting on a treasure trove of reverse tech. Giving them the edge as a world power! Agian, remember it was the government who told us it was a UFO thats why we believe. Also, all opinions count and I thank you for yours.

(9) Brock says:

Agreed and thanks for a rational response. Roswell will never be fully solved and all the speculation and hearsay is tiresome and worthless. Sort of like who really shot JFK. Does it really matter now?

(10) Scott says:

Brock take a look at the earlier TV reports of this incident and the newpaper converage. That to me is the real deal. They were just saying what it was and then someone said “OMG- we have to hide this” And the rest is garbage. You watched one show on the history channel and now you know it all huh?

Absolute nonsense! Jesse Marcel Jr. has been a military doctor and officer for decades. His testimony and background are verifiable and he is hardly under the radar! If you believe anything you are told by high tech corporations who do defence work then you should check out some oceanfront property in Iowa!

You’d have to be a dummy to believe that story.

The American Chronical’s article was pretty good. It’s pretty different from what I’ve heard before but it sounds reasonable and sound reasoning. But like we’ve heard in the past – who knows for sure. I’ d like to go there myself and look around but I fear being shot by a rancher or someone else.

(14) Lou D. says:

What nonsense !! The Russians didn’t even have the A-Bomb at the time of Roswell. The U.S. was just starting to introduce jet fighters into its armed forces in 1947. Same for Russia , let alone intercontinental missles which neither the U.S. or Russia had at that time.

Trust me, it wasn’t a missile.

One thing I learned a long time ago, a person that is set in their beliefs about Roswell is:
A. A closed minded individual
B. A dis-info agent
C. An inside man/woman
D. Weak, unable to handle anything beyond the scope of
normal scientific understanding
E. Lets other people do their thinking for them.

The evidence is there, you just have to choose to accept it. Lt. General Nathan Twining commander of the Air Material Command flew to Alamogordo army Air field and a side trip to Kirkland AFB in Albuquerque, he stayed there until July 11! He was supposed to be at Sandia Base in Albuquerque for a Bomb Commanders Course and also scheduled to be at Boeing during this time but canceled. In a letter to the Boeing executive, Twining referred to a “very important and sudden matter that had developed here” which forced him to cancel.
There is also the evidence that General Roger Ramey held in his hand in the photo that contained the weather balloon that was swapped for the UFO debris that was confirmed by then Captain Jesse Marcel. The letter was enhanced I think sometime in the 80s and it showed that it included words such as small bodies, and other things that indeed pointed to it actually being a downed craft of extraterrestrial origin! All the evidence is there, you just have to choose to believe it, or keep your heads buried in the sand!

(18) Linda says:

The metal alloy NITINOL that is now being used in heart valves and stents sounds a lot like the metal that people remember seeing at the crash. You can crinkle it and crumble it and it goes right back to its original shape by itself. It is corrosion resistant, lightweight, non-magnetic, high strength, and when polished to extremely smooth finish is great for use in aircraft and space craft. Also super elasticity, up to 30 times regular metal and shape memory. Very interesting.

I haven’t even read this article yet. I was stopped at Billy’s explanation of the new Roswell book. I saw this woman on The Daily Show, and she said it was a saucer-shaped vehicle with surgically altered small people. I have looked at a few reviews on the internet, and they all say the same thing (small people or children).

Nobody is mentioning a rocket and dummies, as Billy says. Why the difference?

I don’t think the dummies were in a Russian rocket. They seem to be writing books on Roswell these days!!
