O'Hare Airport UFO Eyewitness Report
Note from the National UFO Reporting Center- This individual was interviewed, at length, by one of the investigators involved in the follow-up investigation. The investigators were highly impressed with the witness's credentials, and with the accurate description of the event. We deem this witness to be extremely highly credible. Chicago O'Hare UFO Report
Ok I have been hesitant about talking about this, but after hearing the report on Coast to Coast AM with Mr. Noury, I cannot be silent. I work for a major airline at O'Hare, I am a taxi mechanic. I have the job responsibility of moving aircraft under there own power from gate to gate or the hangar complex for maintenance. We also accomplish the engine run-up testing needed. So I hope that does something for establishing a little credibility for my report. I am still in absolute wonder and amazement at what I saw that afternoon.
Around 16:30 hours, a pilot made a comment on the radio about a circle or disc shaped object hovering over gate C-17 at the C concourse in Chicago. At first we laughed to each other and then the same pilot said again on the radio that is was about 700 feet above ground level. The day was overcast with the ceiling being reported at 1600 feet if I remember correctly. I was taxing a Boeing 777 from the International Terminal to the Company Hanger on the North side of the Airport.
As we passed the C Terminal on the Alpha taxiway we observed a dark gray hazy round object hovering over O'Hare International Airport. Is was definitely over the C Terminal. It was holding very steady and appeared to be trying to stay close to the cloud cover. The radio erupted with chatter about the object and the ATC controller that was handling ground traffic made a few smart comments about the alleged UFO sighting above the C terminal.
We had to continue moving the aircraft to the hangar. After parking I noticed the craft was longer there but there was an almost perfect circle in the cloud layer where the craft had been. The hole disappeared a few minutes later.
For the rest of the night there were jokes made on the radio about the sighting.

A great report! There must be something to it if the airport is so quick to dismiss it.
i like the comments that are made, and the stories that are told. all of which i believe i might add! but as always it will go away as ROSWELL , SHAG HABOUR,KECKSBURG,and the crash in MISSOURI. in 1941 which i do believe the ATOM BOMB!idea came from. but who am i to say? it’s all history now! but you know what they say about history? the truth is out there!!!!!!!!!
Why is it so hard to accept that there just might be something about this? Was it this hard to prove that the Earth was NOT the center of the Universe? Oh right, yes it was… Ah now I understand the nature of the beast… Well my fellow Galileo Galilei, let us march ahead. Eventually, we will be proven the right.

The account of this incident given here is stated to have come from a person who certainly would be familiar with the airport environs and aircraft of all types. There is always the slim possibility that this person is a “post facto witness” who is repeating what he heard someone else say, but until proven otherwise the assumption that he was an actual eye witness should be allowed to stand.
I would be very interested to read any reports/statements filed by pilots, controllers and other airport employees. However, I was an air traffic controller for several years and I will tell you that such information will not likely be released by the airlines or the FAA except under a FOIA request.
Informatively, it is not likely that the object would have been seen on radar due to it having been located so close to the antenna (I’m assuming that the surveillance radar, ASR, has an antenna in the immediate area of the airport).
I will also tell you that pilots and controllers occasionally have a bit of good-natured banter about various things, hence the ground controller’s “smart remarks” that the witness reported. This lends credibility to the witness’ claim that he is a taxi mechanic - he would have been in communication with Ground Control during the process of moving the aircraft.
On the basis of the currently available information, I think we have a bona fide UFO sighting here as opposed to one of those ambiguous “light in the sky” reports or a mis-identified terrestrial object. This one will definitely be worth following.
An amazing story which resonates total truths to me. I am a avid follower of the UFo subject and have been since I saw a UFO in South Wales, UK along with my family in 1989. So glad that I believe in life on other worlds its far more exciting than being a debunker any day……Kerry
I certainly hope that this incident doesn’t get “swept under the carpet”. I really feel that this incident has the potential to force some form of disclosure about the whole “ufo phenomenon”. I would be elated if the “powers that be” would be forced to reveal what they know about aliens/ufo’s, because they probably already know good and damn well exactly what this object was. I hope that more witnesses keep coming out of the proverbial woodwork, and also the witnesses that have already done so, continue to push the issue. I understand that photos (maybe even video) of the object exist. I am as anxious as anyone to see these, but I feel that (unfortunately), if they are ever released, they won’t help the case. Skeptics will pick them apart, and claim that they are hoaxed, etc. etc…Regardless of this factor, I do still feel that it is imperative for the witnesses to continue to push the issue and continue to come forward.

I also heard that the pilot had taken a cell phone picture of the object from his cockpit. It is annoying how the govt. is so fullo-sheet. I believe most of these things are some sort of vehicles the US Govt owns and operates and that is why everything get’s hush hushed. I mean we’re all mature enough to believe that there COULD be life on other planets -so why wouldn’t the govt intelligently look into that? Isn’t that kinda what the space program is about?

I saw a fleet of UFOs in chicago, back in
1977.
There were about twenty of them flying a a formation, and some would quickly jump infront of the UFO in front of it as if it wanted a better position.
The were all a dark orange color and were moving at the same speed as if someone were to throw some marbles as fast as they could. In other words, they didn’t move slow like an airplane appears. THEY WERE ZOOMING!!
Probably just a couple of punk ailens out on a joy ride in their parents’ UFO.
